About this property

Near the beaches and the DE TURF, a newly built, secluded home with a water view

Escape to both rural serenity and coastal excitement. Stay in a newly constructed modern farmhouse nestled in the woods on your own tranquil 10 acres. Enjoy the view of a 30-acre pond from your back deck. Walk on private trails through the woods. Close to the beaches. About 10 minutes to Slaughter Beach with public tennis courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds. About 17 minutes to De Turf Sports Complex. 25 to 35 minutes to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach with a boardwalk and amusement park.

The space
We completed the construction of our brand-new vacation home in early 2024. It is in the modern farmhouse style. This luxurious home was designed to provide our rental guests with an ideal vacation experience. To accommodate large groups, we have multiple gathering spaces, indoors and out. Grill on the back deck, enjoy your meals and relax on our furnished back deck overlooking the pond. On cold evenings or in colder months, use the firepit for hangouts and roasting marshmallows.

Indoors, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and has granite countertops and brand new stainless steel appliances including an induction stovetop, a french door refrigerator with built-in ice maker and filtered water, a microwave, a toaster, and a coffee maker. The laundry room is right off the kitchen with a brand-new large-capacity washer and dryer.

There is a rolling hill down to the pond so you can enjoy the view from the windows of the elevated house and furnished back deck. In the summer, beautiful water lilies fill the pond. There is a 1/2 acre of grass lawn surrounding the house, perfect for sports and playing games. The view out of the back of the house is of the pond and out of most of the other windows, you'll see trees and fields. Enjoy your privacy and relax in the serenity of your own 10 acres of meadows and woodlands. The entire long driveway is private and part of the property so feel free to use it as a walking path for long walks.

We're right between two towns, Milford and Milton. Each is less than 15 minutes away. Grocery stores, quaint main streets, shopping, and restaurants abound, including the famous DogFish Head Brewery. Slaughter Beach with public courts, a picnic pavilion, and playgrounds is about 10 minutes away by car. Bigger beaches, main streets, and boardwalks, like Broadkill Beach, Lewes, and Rehoboth Beach are between 15 to 35 minutes away. We're also just under 20 minutes from the De Turf Sports Complex.

**Safety Notice: Scenic Pond View** Our property has a stunning view of a spacious 30-acre pond, but please stay away from the edge. The pond is privately owned by a neighbor. Access to the pond is strictly prohibited. Most importantly, the pond's bed has several feet of soft mud and can be dangerous, especially to young children. Your safety is our top priority. By booking you acknowledge the risks associated with the proximity to the pond and agree to use it for viewing purposes only.

**Nature's Neighbors: Tick Awareness** Our home is nestled within 10 acres of beautiful fields and woodlands, offering a peaceful retreat into nature. As with most East Coast woodlands, it's important to be aware of the presence of ticks during the warmer months. We care deeply about our guests' well-being and even though we do treat for ticks on the property, we strongly recommend avoiding tall grasses and sticking to trails during your outdoor adventures on our property. Additionally, we suggest conducting regular tick checks to ensure your safety. Please enjoy the great outdoors smartly and safely.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home. The garage is locked for our storage use. Guests are free to roam around the entire 10-acre property including the field and woodlands.
Please read the safety notices that detail the dangers of the water's edge (the pond is for viewing only and not to be accessed) and how to avoid ticks in the warmer months.

We have installed a smart lock for easy self-check-in so you can arrive as soon as the cleaners have indicated the house is ready or late at night if you arrive at the end of a long day.

There is a large 1/2 acre grass lawn surrounding the house and we hope you enjoy playing on it or just feel the tranquility of relaxation on your own 10-acre space.

Other things to note
No pets or smoking permitted anywhere in the house or on the property. Any violations will result in a $500 fine and they will be reported to VRBO.

All linens, including sheets and pillowcases are included. Bath, hand, and face towels are available and included in the price as well.

Spacious and Peaceful Retreat Close to Sports Complex

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, brand new home. The space was incredibly comfortable and peaceful, and we even had the pleasure of seeing some wildlife. The place just about had everything we needed. While it’s easy to miss the road leading to the house, the directions provided were very clear and easy to follow. The location is also very convenient, being very close to the sports complex. The only suggestion we have is for the house to provide more towels and to stock beach towels. I would also recommend having umbrellas (for shade) and a few outdoor folding chairs for families who are there for a sort tournament. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again.
