About this property
Convenient Downtown 1-Bed Home, Extended Stays & Pet-Friendly
You’ve just found the perfect home for your extended stay. If you’re here for work, play, or need a place to stay, you’ll love my convenient and comfortable home (1 of my 2 available 1-BD/1-BA identical homes!). We're PET FRIENDLY!
Stay on a quiet, residential street only 2mins to Biltmore Village & I-40 highway access; 5mins to Mission Hospital; 7mins to downtown! Parking is free & easy with 1 reserved driveway parking spot. I’m responsive, and I’ve received 5-stars from guests. Welcome home!
“But Jamie.. give me the deets!” Here’s the breakdown:
LOCATION:
You’ll be staying within Asheville’s city limits, only 2 mins from Biltmore Village and I-40 (the main highway). Commuting to work, the hospital, project site, downtown Asheville, or driving to the Blue Ridge Parkway or mountains is very easy. Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and local shops and restaurants are super close. Ubers are readily available. And you can walk your dog to The Daily Grind coffee shop or to Hillman Beer brewery. You’ll love this location while enjoying your quiet, private neighborhood. The neighbors are chill and friendly, too.
PARKING:
Your truck will fit! There’s a large shared main driveway, and you have your own large reserved parking spot by your front door.
SELF CHECK-IN:
There’s a digital front door lock and code, so getting in and out is easy. This means more privacy and convenience for you and your visiting family member or friend.
MASTER BEDROOM:
Unfortunately, you can’t take the bed with you when you leave. You’ll want to! A lavish King bed with premium linens and plush pillows and blankets will make it hard to get up for your cup of coffee. The blackout curtains will make you think it’s not morning yet, but I’ve got you covered with the digital alarm clock (teamwork, right?). There’s a walk-in closet with hangers and a dresser for your clothes.
MASTER BATHROOM:
It’s attached to the master bedroom, and there’s even a heating fan in the ceiling — no cold toilet seats in this house! There’s a large tub-shower combo with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and I’ve started you off with toilet paper and hand soap. The towels are great too, and there’s a hair/blow dryer.
BACK PATIO:
You can walk outside to your private, relaxing back patio with some coffee in the morning, take an afternoon chill break, or a glass of wine for star-gazing at night. There’s a small yard too (not fenced), if you bring your doggo! (Please pick-up any pup land mines, thanks!)
THE KITCHEN:
You can easily prepare your favorite go-to meals in my fully-outfitted kitchen. And you have to try roasting vegetables in the the Ninja Air Fryer (*chef’s kiss*). Our knives are sharp, appliances are new, and life is good! There’s a convenient little food prep island for more counterspace, and there’s a 4-person dining table.
THE LIVING ROOM:
This is where you enter when walking through the front door. There’s a 55-inch Roku Smart TV, where you can sign-in to your streaming accounts for movies and shows. For seating, there’s a leather chair and a comfortable 3-person pull-out couch, which is convenient for your guest visiting for an overnight (don’t have to share your plush King!). The glass coffee table doubles as your 2nd dining table, or foot rest, whichever you prefer.
WORKING SPACES & WIFI / INTERNET
You’ll have super fast WiFi, which means great speeds for streaming movies, video calls, loading files, and overall internet use. There’s a small working desk in the bedroom, but most of my guests have set up their monitors or work stations on the kitchen table upstairs.
LAUNDRY & HEATING / COOLING
All new appliances means you won’t have any issues! There’s a stacked laundry washer and dryer downstairs by the bathroom, so throwing a load in before bed or after a shower is simple. There are 2 top-tier mini split HVAC units, one upstairs and one downstairs, so that you can set their temperatures separately; I personally prefer a slightly cooler bedroom when I sleep!
OUTDOOR SECURITY / SENSOR LIGHTING
Most people sleep better knowing there’s some security. So I’ve installed a Ring doorbell camera and a Blink Floodlight camera covering the driveway and front door. My guests have never had any issues. It’s a safe, quiet little neighborhood!
And lastly, this home is WELCOME TO PETS (DOGS & CATS)
Message me ASAP with your specific questions, and I’ll get back to you quickly — usually minutes! I’d love to host you for your extended stay in Asheville.

FOR PEOPLE: I ask that guests are 22+ years old, except for children with parents. A maximum of 3 people can stay in the home. One parked vehicle is allowed with this home; if you need more parking, please message me.
FOR PETS: Dogs must be leashed outside due to other dogs potentially being on-site, and out of respect for my neighbors. Dog droppings must be picked up and thrown out. You'll be asked to agree with my pet policy.

About the host
Hosted by Jamie Carlstedt

A born-and-raised Michigander, I've lived in New York, Chicago, Denver, China, Spain, and now the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC! My passion is blending travel and real estate. Whether you're traveling, relocating, working remotely, or in need of a multi-month stay for another reason, my purpose is providing you with a convenient, comfortable, and premium homestay. Welcome!
Why they chose this property
Biltmore Village is a quieter, family-friendly neighborhood that's still close to everything. This area is perfect for those who will be around a while, usually a month or longer, and desire a relaxing home. Located on a dead-end street, the only through-traffic is from residents on the street, which means a very quiet street! Only a 10min walk to the Daily Grind Coffee Shop or 15-20min walk to breweries and restaurants. Driving, it's only 2mins to Biltmore Village, 5mins to the highway, and 10mins to Downtown Asheville.
What makes this property unique
This 1-bedroom / 1-bathroom premium, private and pet-friendly home for rental close to Downtown Asheville is rare! It's very difficult to find 1-bedroom homes, as most have been torn down to build larger homes or they've been turned into apartments within larger buildings. You can call this home your own with plenty of space, luxury furnishings, a walk-out back deck from the master bedroom, and an excellent location that's close to everything. City-living, walkability, and it feels like a family-friendly neighborhood!
