Debra and Tom are great hosts! This is a very unique property on 34 beautiful wooded acres. The house is very charming and comfortable. We enjoyed taking walks by the creek and playing pickleball at the Alva city park.
Five to ten acres of lush tropical grounds with chicken coup, fish pond, creek, numerous trails through the trees/ plants/ many birds. Reminded us of a tropical hobby farm. If you want walk the trails all together probably 2-3 hours. Neighboring places have cattle, goats, horses. We came to relax, enjoy nature, and exercise walk.. wonderful. Home well maintained. Caught and released a few fish (poles provided). A very rejuvenating 10 days for us an elderly couple. Main stores only about 15 minutes away, Fort Myers only another 10. Went and saw some old friends while here. Thanks Debra.. and son Shawn.

About the host
Hosted by Debra A Dargan
I love being in the outdoors! And nature. I like walking and exploring. I like to share those experiences.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it is rural. Over 30 acres with cows, horses, goats, and chickens for neighbors. Most of this property is in the woods with many paths to go on. There is a creek on the border where the fishing is fantastic. You may even see an alligator.
What makes this property unique
This property is great because nature abounds while Fort Myers and the beaches are still very close. The Caloosahatchie River is nearby (5 minutes). There are many available activities and you can kayak from the River to the property! Many parks to explore and sights to see.
