Great Views for a Quick Skiing Trip minus the Stink Bugs

This location is perfect, the home is very cute and the views from the front porch are beautiful. This trip was a quick birthday get away with my sons. First time snowboarding so we spent most our time at Cataloochee Ski Area. The house was very clean, however the rooms were filled with stinkbugs as well as lady bugs. We get it, it's part of the country/ mountain life, but it would have been nice if someone stopped by and cleaned it up. Overall we had a great time!

The house was amazing the views were magnificent . The community was quite we loved everything about this place nice bedrooms the living room was spacious the garage was ausome. The only draw back we had and I mean the only one was the steep driveway but that comes with the great views but we still enjoyed the place most definitely we will be back maybe Christmas 24 or spring bike rally again . This is a definite good place to stay would recommend it to anyone we loved it

This review is about VRBO and the local property manager, not the property itself

I would like to begin with the positives - This is a lovely property nestled in the mountains. It isn't quite as secluded as indicated in the listing - there are neighbors in close proximity. But the area was quiet. The home itself was comfortable and well-appointed. Now the negatives - this is entirely to do with the local property manager and their communication with VRBO. Prior to my arrival, I messaged through the VRBO app on how I was to gain access to the property, be it key or door code. I thought it odd I would have to ask after this information. The garage barely fit our mid-sized SUV. We awoke to NO hot water the first morning. No showers, no anything needing hot water. I messaged throughout the day and felt I was getting the run around, being advised to check the water heater pilot light and breakers. We didn't hang out so couldn't do any of that. The property management company didn't bother to fix the issue while we were away so we returned late to no hot water, still. They sent a tech out around 10pm. He lit the pilot light and for the most part we were ok. Second morning, no hot water in the master shower. I chatted, emailed, called and had to repeat myself over and over. I'm now getting the run around about getting a partial refund. Days later, I'm still getting texts asking if the issue has been resolved. I'm pretty sure Vacasa (local property management) and VRBO do not talk to one another. We won't rent through VRBO in this area again. Such hassle!
