Great house, best of all the hosts very friendly and responsive. They are the only rental in that community that let you use there golf cart and kayaks. That is huge with kids.
The house was nice, the beach was nice, and the location was vey convenient. The dogs loved that the deck has a gate so the could enjoy laying outside! Fantastic place at a great rate! We would definitely go back.
So much to do. Kayaking , fishing, swimming, and meeting nice people. It rained on Sunday so we played darts, pool and board games. Went to two very nice restaurants that were less than five miles away.

Great Place very clean and very responsive owners
This home was in immaculate condition. They even have a golf cart to go to beach in. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Had one small problem but the owners addressed the issue very quickly. Amazing, they had HD TV's in every bedroom and the living room.
Location was fantastic, the private beach was awesome until the locals showed up and let you know you were not welcomed. Having the Kayaks and golf cart to use was awesome. We didnt get to use the firepit but having one was a great addition. Place was very cozy BUT very dirty. A/c in living room covered in spider webs & dust, found a dirty shirt in between couch cushions, dead ants in doorway of pantry, ant traps everywhere and ants and spiders everywhere(shower, kitchen, living room & bathroom). Ceiling fans had 1/2 in of dust on all of them. Hopefully new cleaners do a better job because it could have been a great place

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Needs a deep cleaning
The pros are that they have air conditioning in each room, plenty of beds and a TV in each room.
Overall this place is not very clean. My dog was sniffing under the couch and chair and we found old dog food and a lot of old animal hair and dust. There was cobwebs and dust all over the house. I had to take my inhaler and allergy meds multiple times a day. All of the blankets smelt like BO and I had to buy a new blanket. The curtain in the shower was very grimy and smelt bad. The walls were dirty and so was the silverware. The chairs in the back yard were knocked over and looked a mess. Not sure if someone keeps up with the property or not. And to top it off there were stains on the mattress that looked like blood. Very disappointing especially with how much we spent for the weekend.
We had a wonderful week-long stay in this home. We visit the lake yearly and have stayed in many private communities but by far, this home and the Balmoral community, is our favorite.
The house - The house was updated, clean and thoughtfully decorated. The AC worked great (it was very hot and humid out). The main living and dining areas were spacious and comfortable for us to hang out in and the kitchen was well-equipped to cook (we typically ate out for dinner though). The two full bathrooms were also clean and had good water pressure (having two bathrooms was convenient while traveling with two teenage girls). The four bedrooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds. Although we brought our own linens and towels, it was helpful to have extras of everything that were provided in the home.
House Extras - The house has a nice deck and outdoor seating. It also has a large parking area. We brought our 15ft fishing boat and had no problem parking the boat on the trailer in the driveway area with plenty of room for a crew cab pickup truck and SUV. The house came with a golf cart to use to get to and from the beach, which is pretty common to see in this community. We also used the two house kayaks for a day, which the teenagers loved since the lake area was not busy with boats during the week (unlike renting kayaks from a business that launches in high traffic areas). They even paddled out to an island and had lunch on the kayaks while drifting.
The Beach/Boat Launch - the beach and boat launch are busy on the weekends (typical) but during the week, they have an average amount of people. The beach is large, clean and has an area to beach your boat for a short time (or tie up to the dock while picking up your trailer at the clubhouse - a 5 min walk). The ice cream boat came twice to this beach (which the kids loved) and using floats in the swim area was perfect. The boat launch is narrow but if your experienced trailing a boat, it’s no problem. We loved being able to use the private launch instead of having to use a town launch (as we’ve done in the past).
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The house was great and we loved the beach area and boat launch accommodations that are in this community. Kelly, the owner is also wonderful and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to visit again! 10/10!

Ok
Rented before and was happy there. This time it was just ok. No gas in the golf cart. My son , his wife and their 2 year old ran out of gas less than a mile from the house. Had to go get them and get gas . There was hair in the upstairs shower.. Upstairs bathroom light missing a bulb which made it dark.
We had a great time! The house was great, plenty of room. The beach is beautiful. All the neighbors were very polite and welcoming. Boat launch was clean and very well maintained. The kids loved the ice cream shop at top of the road.
I loved the house. We got to know the neighborhood and the neighbors really well. The private beach was excellent.

Perfect Family Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kelly and Todd’s home. They communicated with us throughout our stay and were quick to respond back when we had questions. The house was large enough to accommodate two families and a dog. It was clean and warmly decorated. They provided a golf cart and kayaks for us which was very generous. We will definitely stay here again if they will have us😁
