Underwhelming experience
Overall the apartment is quite nice. However, we arrived to find a half-filled, used, pitcher of water on the counter and used up bathroom amenities. For instance, no TP on the holder, partial small rolls of TP in a cabinet, empty body wash bottle, etc. The AC was cranked so low we had to wear sweaters inside on a 75+ degree day. When I asked how to adjust the AC, was told I would have to ask the people in the attached house to adjust it. I asked the owner to ask to have it adjusted, which eventually happened, but meantime we slept in the very comfortable bed under a warm comforter with an inside temp of 60 degrees or so. We were told we could open windows to let some warm air in, which we did for a few minutes, but none of the windows had screens and it didn't take long to welcome in flies. The apartment is attached to a large house which was occupied by a lot of people. Any group of people will be noisy...in this particular situation, there wasn't enough space or sound proofing to keep from hearing many conversations and from experiencing arguments and constant chatter. We weren't really spending a lot of time in the apartment, so it wasn't a huge deal, but if a person had wanted a quiet retreat, this place would not be it. The initial listing says there is onsite parking, but there is not.Only street parking. Not a big deal, but there is the additional hassle of applying for an overnight street parking permit required in Milwaukee. Moldy shower curtain.
