Great house, close to everything!

We stayed at the Blue Cottage Inn for a mother/daughter weekend. This was the perfect house for our group. Clean and well-maintained. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, although we didn't really do a lot of cooking at the house. We were in town for the Lavender Festival. The house was 5 min drive from town, so we were never far from anything. Really close to Blanco State Park, which was a nice place to go for a quick swim in the river. Also right around the corner from one of the lavender farms. The back patio was a great place to hang out and unwind at the end of the day. We would definitely stay here again!

I would stay again if I was to stay in Blanco. Location was just a little to far from Wineries, Fredericksburg, Lukenbach and other tourist traps; however, if I only wanted to get laid back and do nothing I would come back.

Very nice and convenient place to stay.

The property was in excellent condition. It was well appointed with everything needed for a wonderful stay. The only improvement I would suggest is that the door in the downstairs bedroom which has a full window, needs a window treatment or covering. My daughter in law was uncomfortable with the full uncovered window in the door which opens onto the patio.

Wonderful Cottage

The Blue Cottage Inn in Blanco, Texas was just what we wanted for a "all girl's weekend" adventure. It was very clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the back patio. There was a barn swallow nest under the pergola and we loved watching the parents feed the fledglings. The cottage is within easy driving distance to many other towns, wineries, etc. I do have 2 suggestions -- 1) the step down from the back porch onto the patio was dangerous and could use another step added. 2) we were never able to get either television to work - maybe more instructions on the remotes, etc. would be helpful to we tech-challenged older people. Other than those two things, we absolutely loved our stay there and would recommend it to anyone.

Adorable Home!

The layout of the home is very open and nice for a family 4. We saw a family of deer in the very back of the neighbors yard each night. Very peaceful little neighborhood.

Awesome!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this cute little cottage! The owners are very friendly and responded right away with any of my questions. Blanco State park is a very short walk from the house. It's centrally located in the Hill Country to explore many different towns while your visiting. The cottage has sound systems indoors and outdoors. It is very clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable and there's even extra standing fans. It is very private with a big back yard complete with BBQ pit and fire pit. You'll love this place!

Nice spring break trip!

Nice 3 bedroom cottage in Blanco with plenty of room for our family! Indoor and outdoor areas are spacious and comfortable to come back to after exploring the area state parks. Distances to the state parks driving are 1 minute to the entrance of Blanco State Park. It takes about 30 minutes to Perdanales State Park and an hour to Enchanted Rock. The kitchen has plenty of pots, dishes and pantry items for just about any type meal.The dining and living areas were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor area has a large grassy area in addition to a large patio area. The bedrooms were comfortable with luxurious type sheets The towels were also nice quality though it would have been nice to have more than one per person.The owner/manager was responsive and attentive to our messages during our stay!

My husband and I rented for 4 days . This house has many attributes , location is great, we rode our bikes everywhere ,its quiet, lovely porch and has a full kitchen , laundry, iron and it was very clean . My only negatives were upstairs master shower , I hated it , Its s tiny shower with a shower head that sprays these skinny hard steams of water , not relaxing ,and felt like I couldn't get the shampoo out of my hair, so and I ended up using the downstairs bathroom . The master bedroom has a skylight so that the sun will shine in your face if you stay in bed too long (as the other reviewer mentioned and I didn't read until now:-) These two things may not bother anyone else , they aren't huge, just minor details that I think the rental company could fix.

Fantasic time, highly recommended

The house was beautiful and comfortably slept 6 people. The lot the house is on is quite large, and the neighbors are a good ways away from the house, which we appreciated. I'm not sure if they allow pets but if you needed space for a dog this would be perfect for you. We took advantage of a large and fun back porch area, which is equipped with a great music system. We thought the house was well-furnished and very cozy. The house has all your entertaining needs, including Wi-Fi which was nice for me since I didn't have great service out there. Canyon Lake is a short drive away, and the Real Ale Brewery tour was very close by and highly enjoyable. Management was very nice and easy to get a hold of. I used the upstairs bedroom, which has a giant skylight that forbids sleeping in, so be aware of that. The only complaints I had were that the coffee maker was ruined by the previous guests. They made coffee without a filter and didn't clean it out. It was all moldy and unusable. Also, one of the pins was apparently missing on the horseshoe pit, so we couldn't play. Maybe my friends just couldn't find it though...? However, these were minor disappointments in and otherwise perfect weekend, I'd recommend this house for anyone wanting a Hill Country get away.
