Place was super cute and super clean. Perfect for picking up my Marine from Parris Island. 5 min drive. Beaufort 10 min drive beautiful downtown. Things to do all around. Easy driving. Host was easy to get a hold of. Would recoomend
Was planning to stay for 2 nights while visiting friends for the 4th who live around the corner. Things seemed fine when we dropped our stuff off in the afternoon. But we came back around 1:00 AM the first night and the bathroom walls, floor, and tub were covered with around 15 small spiders. One bedroom had another 5 on the wall and at least 3 in the rug by the bed. The other bedroom had a couple on the wall and we found one in a rug. We debated leaving then because we were killing them but couldn’t figure out where they were coming from and more kept appearing, but really had no options at that point in the night. We left the next day and slept on our friend’s couch so we wouldn’t have to spend another night there.
The lighthouse was a charming small home. They allowed us to check in a little early. We did have a small issue getting into to home the first time but, the home owners helped promptly. The home was pretty clean. The only thing I would recommend is getting some better no -show ick pans they don’t work well. Hunting Island is farther than we’d like to drive but homeowners allowed us the use of their pass. Over all very good stay. Port Royal is so charming!
This cottage was the perfect size for my family of three to get away. The home was clean and neat and everything worked as expected. The owners had definitely put thought into preparing the home for guests. Every item I looked for in the kitchen was there and in good repair so we prepared many meals in the kitchen. The backyard was well kept up and available to sit out and read or eat out-of-doors. The close proximity to the Cypress Wetlands was a bonus! Would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Will and Donna
Port Royal is our home away from home! Our family was originally drawn to this area because of the spectacular beauty of Hunting Island and then we kept returning to the Lowcountry for its abundance of charm. We are so happy to share this beautiful corner of the earth with you!
Why they chose this property
It is a 5-minute drive to Fishcamp restaurant with serene marsh views, great seafood, and cocktails. We are two blocks away from the Spanish Moss trail, where you can walk, jog, or bike to either downtown Port Royal or into Beaufort.
What makes this property unique
We love the grand live oak trees and lounging in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. It's also nice to have a separate office space for those occasions when you need to get some work in.
