This lake house is a gem! It is extremely well equipped and maintained, and our family enjoyed every minute we spent on the lake! The neighbors were great as well! Super relaxing area where we got a chance to unwind! Would recommend to anyone!
Beautiful home with amazing views! The kayaks were so fun to take out and the hot tub and fire pit outside were so cozy at night. The host was so nice and responsive. The neighbors were so nice too!
This lake house was a dream. We traveled with our three kids (17,14 and 8) and as a mom I think this was the most relaxing trip that we have ever taken. The house was perfect- plenty of space, immaculately clean, well stocked with all the essentials and a great location right on the lake. We hope to return again someday! . Thanks Pascale for sharing your lovely home with us.
We had a great week! How is very clean and just as described. I did miss that there was no AC or TV when I booked. Our week did happen to be a heat wave. The window fans for sleeping helped tremendously! The owner was great and very responsive. We would definitely book again.
Our family had a wonderful relaxing time on Mt.View Lake. The house clean and offered us plenty of space for use to spread out. The lake was calm and quiet which was wonderful for fishing and kayaking. I would highly recommend this property!
Our second time renting this lake house. We all have a great time. The house is in a great location, its quiet quiet and has everything you would need. Already booked for next year!!
We just wrapped a lovely week with the family at Mountain View lake. Our kids (ages 4 and 7) had an absolute blast and this house had it all from a grill, kayaks/canoes (with kid sized life jackets!) to a magical lake side hot tub. We were truly grateful for the memories forged at this lovely house and thank Pascale for the warm experience.
We had a wonderful family vacation on Mtn.View Lake. The home was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for! Mostly, I appreciate the communication with the host - who is terrific! Thanks for a memorable time in your lovely home. Best regards, Stephanie & family
Second time staying at the Moose Lodge we call it. Lovely event that’s becoming an annual treasure at your beautiful cabin. We love the stuff moose as we’re not big on hunting we brag about the dual dishwasher, gourmet kitchen, of where we share many a family meal. Please don’t change a thing!
This was our 2nd visit for a family vacation. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the home is very comfortable. We had our 3 adult children and everyone was able to have their own space. We had plenty of rain but it made for some interesting hikes; good thing for the washer and dryer for all the wet clothes.
Pascale is easy to communicate with and an attentive host.
Everything you need at this house and property to make a memorable, busy, and relaxing vacation.
My parents and family stayed for a week over the 4th of July. We had plenty to keep us active and busy with a 10 year old girl and 13 year old boy. My wife and I and parents were able to keep up, but also enjoy the property for some relaxation. The kayak's, canoe, and lake are perfect for swimming and the hot tub is perfect to relax any tense muscles. Pefect home & property for our family! Pascale is very attentive and checked in with us if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns. Would recommend to anyone looking for a busy/relaxing vacation!
The home was lovely. The location sublime. Communication with the owner was excellent. Just an FYI - there is no TV which I missed in the description. It's not really a problem because we could stream on our computers. Just something to note.

Peaceful lake
Wonderful quiet lake. We happened to pick the hottest week of the year, thankfully the house had window fans. The cabin had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Having coffee out on the porch overlooking the lake was a perfect way to start the day. We spent a lot of time in the lake with floats provided by the owner. The sand on the bottom of the lake is a little mucky so some felt the need for water shoes. Do bring a few folding chairs for sitting on the dock and watching the kayaks go by.
We spent a wonderful week at “Castle Rock” lake house the first week of September 2023. This log-cabin home is simple, yet luxurious. It’s rustic lake-house charm is well balanced by supreme cleanliness and top-of-the-line amenities and appliances. Our time there was peaceful and private, complemented by greetings and much-appreciated lakeside tips from the friendly neighbors. It was the perfect spot to wind down after a busy summer, and our children couldn’t get enough of Mountain View Lake. They swam, kayaked and fished all day, every day, right from the dock in the backyard. My husband and I enjoyed sunbathing and reading on the dock and back porch. We were just thrilled to give our family the perfect vacation in Sunapee, NH. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive when we had questions. We highly recommend this property and would absolutely book it again ourselves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on the lake. It has everything you will need to have a great vacation in a home away from home From the spacious layout, beautiful decor, fully stocked cooks kitchen to the hot tub and kayaks!! Its a real treat to wake up and look out at the tranquil lake too. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!
Charming location, safe access to a small lake for family swimming and canoeing, fully equipped house, in good working order, helpful hostess, lots to do in surrounding area. We spent two pleasant and problem-free weeks and would gladly do so again.
If you’re inclined to shut out the world for a bit and need a quiet place to recharge you’ll find this home meets each requirement. Pascale is easy to communicate with. We loved the water proximity Quiet neighbors.. Well appointed with all you will need. Would recommend.
Paddling the kayaks, canoe , swimming and on floaties was the best. The beautiful view of Mt. Sunapee was the icing on the cake. The house, the grill, the kitchen… everything was perfect. We were all so happy and comfortable. Our host was so accommodating. Loved the basket of beach towels. What a gem
We were celebrating our anniversary with the family and had a wonderful time!! Pascale was wonderful and very helpful. Will be booking to stay there again.
What a fantastic week we had! The home was clean and well appointed. We had beautiful weather. Pascale was an amazing host. We noticed the kayaks were a bit worn at the ends. I texted this concern to Pascale and by the next afternoon we had 2 brand new kayaks to use! We enjoyed spending time on the dock watching the wild life. Plenty to do in the surrounding area and easy access to lake Sunapee. The hot tub was a huge hit with our teens. We had an amazing week! Thank you again, Pascale, for sharing your lovely home.
Let me just start off by saying it was just an amazing experience that me and my family will never forget. The view from the back overlooking the lake and seeing Mt Sunapee is just breathtaking. The cabin was set up perfect from the kitchen being set up perfect to the steam shower in the upstairs bathroom to being able to relax in the hot tub. Pascale was wonderful to work with and very responsive to the messages. We can wait for our next trip up to Sunapee

About the host

We have recently renovated the log cabin for our family of seven. This is our dream house and we are planning to retire here at some point. But for now, work and ski racing has brought us to Salt Lake City.
Why they chose this property
This is paradise: the house is located on a quiet dead-end street right on the water with views of Mount Sunapee. Mountain View Lake is very quiet and the water is pristine. The inside of the house is beautiful - lots of light and most of the rooms have wood finish. It is easy to enjoy the Adventure Park of Mount Sunapee or the Big Lake Sunapee which is a few minutes away by car.
What makes this property unique
This log house has a wonderful atmosphere as most of the interior is wood. The views are stunning and the lake is very quiet. Outside you can enjoy our grill, fire pit or hot tub. You are about 10 feet away from the water. Neighbors are incredibly friendly and helpful.
