As a VRBO this is just an adequate apartment. But considering the quality of motels here it is a GREAT CHOICE!There are two beds, a full kitchen, and privacy.
The property was perfect for us and the host was so very nice and accommodating. I will stay here every time we are in town and I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet stay.
First, I want to emphasize that this is a very nice, comfortable property. It's just off Main St, Hardy, within an easy walk of multiple eateries and a grocery. The property itself is simple but comfortable, with many of the guests' basic needs anticipated. It definitely had the ready conveniences and space of a home—something you don't get with a comparably priced hotel stay.
For the sake of honestly, I’ll state upfront my friend and I overslept the 11 AM check-out time by 3 hours. I’m accustomed to plenty latitude around check-out times when I rent a private property vs. a hotel, but I should have asked rather than assume. The host had booked cleaners for that afternoon, so we were in the way. I received a call from the owner at 2:00 PM explaining the cleaners were there. After I explained to her what happened and apologized, she remained quite pleasant and seemed unflustered. We agreed that the cleaners could come in and get started while we packed quickly and left.
Shortly after, the cleaners were gone. (Not sure what happened. My friend answered the door.) The owner had been told the place was a “super mess”. (We cleaned up all of our remaining rubbish and were out within 20 min.) The impression we weren’t to be trusted had gelled. (Something I’m very unaccustomed to.)
I’m not being generous when I say this is a nice place, but the end of my much-needed mini vacation left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't attempt to book this property again, or recommend it to friends.
