About this property

Great Resort in Oconomowoc WI with Shopping, Lakes, Milwaukee And Madison

( I leave my calendar open as cancellations occur. However from Memorial Day through Labor Day is a very popular season for vacationers so please may requests as early as possible). Note the Olympia Hotel and Pool access closed as of 2018. I have access to 1,2, and 3 br units with only some 1 and 2 being dog friendly) As of 0/01/2024, resort has implemented a 7 night stay minimum for reservations booked more than 30 days from date of stay. Any reservations within 30 days are a 3 night minimum.
A great place to vacation in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. If you like to do things this is the place. Oconomowc is 30 minutes from Milwaukee and Madison and under an hour from Wisconsin Dells. If you can imagine it, you can do it. Golfing and Lakefront 10 minutes from the resort. Dining and shopping abound. Want to see a symphony, downtown Milwaukee awaits. There you can catch a Brewers or Bucks game, fantastic Zoo, plays, dining, Lake Michigan, museums including the Big Iron Harley Davidson museum, the Milwaukee Domes, Summerfest, and the State Fair. Head West and you are in the State's Capitol in 30 minutes with access to the Wisconsin Badgers, zoos, shopping, fine dining, lake fronts and tons more. If you want waterparks, there are indoor waterparks within 20 minutes of the resort and you are within an hour of the Wisconsin Dells. Want to attend a fantastic playhouse and dining, there is the Fireside in Fort Atkinson. Take a daytrip to visit the Amish in Dayton.

The resort has 1 (sleeps 4), 2 (sleeps 6) and 3 (sleeps 8) bedroom condos and I have access to all sizes. Resort has extremely friendly staff, accepts pets in a limited number of 2 br and 1 br units , and has lake views. The Olympia Hotel and Conference center has closed which means there is no longer access to the pool (indoor and Outdoor). Oconomowoc does have a free beach on Lac Labelle downtown.

Resort has free wifi. Quoted price is for a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo. There is a fee of $50 assigned to any reservation having pets.

Pup and baby friendly

High school reunion weekend

Information about the condo (address, number & sizes of beds, amenities, place to check-in, availability of additional keys, parking passes, etc) was very piece-mil and made the sharing of information with the other guests rather frustrating The condo, though clean and adequate, could use some spritzing up. The hallway leading to it has a nasty, moldy, smell. Renting this served our purpose of just needing a place to sleep and eat breakfast.

The condo we rented was functional, but there was a musty smell throughout. In addition, the occupants in the unit above our unit were extremely loud all night long to the point where we couldn't sleep for out entire stay at the condo.

Our family of 8 had a nice stay at this condo while we were in town for a wedding. It was quiet and spacious, and very nice especially for the price.

The condo was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Convenient to the highway but still felt "off the beaten path".

Terrible service

Checking in was amazing the lady in the ofice was great and the unit was very well taken care of. But at 2 am on the night of our wedding we spent two hours sitting in the hallway trying to get ahold of someone because they wiped all 3 of our cards. Luckily there was one we had to get from my sister that worked but they wiped all 3 of them so we only had one card. There needs to be someone on call at night because no one was there to help us out

Why they chose this property

If you like to be able to have a variety of entertainment options year round, this resorts offers it. Being close to both Madison and Milwaukee, you have access to Zoos, Skiing, pro sports, college sports, dining, entertainment, shopping. However, in and around Oconomowoc are lake fronts, dining, small theatre, outlet malls, a honey museum, Erin Hills golf course hosting the PGA this Summer, and a ton of other fun things to do. In a little over an hour you can spend a day at the Dells water park capital of the work, Great America Amusement Park, Amish communities, House on the Rock, Lake Geneva, and multiple state parks. If you are from this area, but live somewhere else and want a place to call home when you are visiting friends and relatives, then this is the place to stay.

What makes this property unique

This is a quaint vacation interval ownership resort wholly owned by its owners. The staff is super friendly and you are close to everything but away from everyone. If you dislike noisy hotels with kids running up and down the halls and having paper thin walls, then this is the place for you.
