About this property
Nashville's Wabi-Sabi Retreat with HUGE 2nd Story Patio and Bonfire
If you're seeking a space that celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the art of simplicity, look no further. Located in East Nashville minutes from Downtown & the East Bank, we're within walking distance of amazing coffee shops and a quick drive to a buzzing music/restaurant scene, co-working spaces, and musical hotspots. With an open-concept layout, spacious upper porch, bonfire, and private bedrooms, our home is perfect as a midterm retreat for creatives, professionals, and digital nomads.
THE SPACE:
Get ready to feel peaceful! Our space is industrial Japandi; the lower floor is open-concept, which is great for entertaining or sharing space! Our living room has 10-foot ceilings, blackout shades, and drapes, while our kitchen features 25-foot ceilings, allowing for lots of natural light. 1st and 2nd-floor bedrooms are traditionally laid out, with blackout curtains helping daytime sleepers. All bedrooms come with cooling mattresses and luxury brand linen bedding for hot sleepers. Our 2nd-story porch offers a bonfire pit, outdoor dining area, and a great alternate workspace. We have SUPER FAST wi-fi throughout the home.
We offer baby and toddler dishes, bibs, and a high chair if you have kids. We can provide a Pack and Play or additional baby gates for a small fee upon request. We can provide a crate for service animals upon request for a small fee, with at least one week's advance notice.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
East Nashville is considered the stomping ground of Nashville's creative class. Its quiet neighborhoods combine Victorian and early-20th-century architecture with some of the city's trendiest contemporary businesses. This year, the neighborhood has firmly established itself as the heart of trendy dining, with no end to diverse restaurants and coffee shops.
We are on a safe, quiet street in East Nashville, only 10 minutes from Downtown Nashville, 5 minutes from East Bank, 7 minutes from Germantown, 60 seconds from I-65, and 15 minutes from BNA Airport.
Walking to Elegy, a nearby coffee shop, is a quick, peaceful walk. Elegy's coffee, iced chai, and breakfast bagels are hard to beat. We offer lots more in our Guidebook from personal experience; some locally that you can't miss and other exciting options off the beaten path.
Krogers and Publix are both a few minutes away for groceries. Over fifteen coffee shops are under a ten-minute drive, or if you'd like to visit Nashville's notorious Frothy Monkey for breakfast, lunch, or just coffee, it is about a ten-minute drive. There is parking everywhere in Nashville—most times for free. Downtown, you'll find parking where you scan a QR code, and it usually costs a few dollars for a few hours and is often updateable from your phone.
IMMUNO-COMPROMISED:
As hosts who have been around the block with immune complications, we are proud to have a tested, mold-free home with no prior history of bacteria. We maintain an incredibly high standard of cleanliness, and our three outdoor patios are spacious, clean-air-friendly areas for meeting and greeting or getting some good old Vitamin D.
ALLOWANCES:
Events: We understand that one of the nice things about a place to stay is the ability to host, and our home is wonderful for that. In certain cases like family get-togethers or work gatherings, we're fine with after a heads up and giving written approval.
Midterm Stays: We're thrilled to host you for one to six-month stays. For visits under 8 weeks, we invite you to instant book! 8 weeks +, we require a standard midterm rental agreement before approval.
Pets and Fees: We love animals. However, we are a pet-free home outside of certified service animals. You are welcome to shoot us a note to request an exception.

About the host
Hosted by Michelle

Hi! My name is Michelle, but you can call me Elle. Originally from Boston, I now bounce between Nashville and other large cities for work. I'm a writer, filmmaker, and excitable coffee drinker. I’ve been lucky enough to work in film since I was 19, and LOVE designing unique spaces that provide rest. As a host and someone who spent much of my work life nomadically, I appreciate when a place feels like home and hope to give that experience to you! I'm very hands on and pride myself in fast responses.
Why they chose this property
East Nashville is very much on the come-up. It has some of the most unique and vibrant restaurants in all of Nashville, many of which have won recent James Beard awards. It's artsy and creative, and has still kept its humble roots and classic personality.
What makes this property unique
We're on a very quiet street for being so central to all areas of Nashville, and we're also seconds away from a jump onto Nashville's least traffick-y highway. Our home definitely feels like you are in quiet nature when you are, in fact, in a buzzing city! Our 2nd floor patio with the dining table and bonfire pit is peaceful every time of day, and makes for a great outdoor workspace for yourself and groups as well if you're someone who likes to mix it up.
