We didn’t stay. No bedding, no pillows or blankets, no towels, no cable, no internet, no life jackets, no firewood, no screens on patio door (couldn’t air it out) shoreline not like picture. We were there for one hour and left. Ruined our holiday.
The location of this property was wonderful for short day trips. I stayed at the cottage with my 82 year old mother. The weather that week was slightly cold. Unfortunately, we had difficulty with the propane stove resulting in a call to the owner. To our surprise, there was no local property manager available to us. We had subsequent troubles with no hot water and barely any water pressure. These issues, in addition to the dock floating away did not set the stage for an enjoyable vacation. Unless you are a handy person I would not recommend this property.
My partner and I spent a week at Sandy's cottage, it was a lovely little spot with all the necessary amenities. Sandy was responsive to any hiccups and we loved the serenity on this end of the lake. No, the swimming is not good right off the dock, but the dock is new and great for getting some sun. We had no problem going out further for a swim. If you look closely it is not grass but actually wild rice! Lots of blue gills right off the dock that come right up to you. Inside the place was clean and the decor was beautiful. BBQ was convenient and easy to use and lots of green space.
My kids and I really enjoyed this cottage! It was clean, the decor was charming and it was the perfect size for my family of 5 :)
We really enjoyed being able to fish and go out on the canoe and pedal boat, as well
This was the best cottage we have ever stayed at. Our host turned on the heat before we got there - it was September so just starting to get cool. The lake was right there so I kayaked a number of times right of the property shore line. We were looking for a de-stressor / decompressor week and we got just that. We would gladly stay again.
Everyone loved the quiet coziness of this beautiful cottage. The scenery was beautiful, great fishing, comfortable beds and warm atmosphere made this heaven on earth. Didn't want to leave.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful cottage.

Don't go here in the off season
We rented this property for the first week of October in order to enjoy a quiet retreat
in cooler weather. It is our fault for assuming the cottage would be heated this time of year and for not asking that question before renting. The owner chose not to disclose that the central heating system was not operating and that the only source of heat was a small floor level fan heater. Consequently we ate our meals in cold surroundings and shivered through cold nights. Under those conditions our retreat turned into one we did not anticipate; we retreated home with three days remaining on our rental week. We sent a detailed message the same day we arrived home to the owner and at this writing, five days later, she has not acknowledged our feedback. The lesson we learned was this, that the days of trusting others to be forthcoming with vital information when $$$$ is involved are long over!

Peaceful setting.
Very peaceful setting. No television or wifi to intrude with the peaceful setting. Just what I needed. Loved the shabby chic decor. Enjoyed the daily visits with the geese.
The lake on this area not good for swimming. Everything else was good. It was a good relaxation week. Thank you!

Unique cottage with vintage decor and all the amenities. Truly a getaway where you can unplug and relax.
Great location for anyone that wants to venture out and explore the area: Petroglyphs, Trent University, Peterborough Liftlocks and museum, restaurants, shopping, parks, nature trails, paved walking/bike trails.

Fabulous Little Cottage
The cottage was decorated so very nicely and with love and attention to detail in a shabby chic motif. Both Bedrooms had comfortable beds and views of the water. No not a great swimming area but for us older people not a problem. It was very well equipped with all that was needed. We could have had 12 for dinner and had dishes to spare.
The best part is the outdoor deck/ with a roof and ceiling fan. We spent all our time there. Quiet area in the heart of the Kawarthas which made trips to Lakefield, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls easy. The little bunkie was perfect for my daughter and her boyfriend when they came to visit. Just remember bring your own linens includes pillows and towels.
Sandy was a pleasure to deal with and I look forward to going back.
