New 2024 Darling 1930s beach cabin-newly remodeled
Stay in a piece of Bandon history! Mere steps from the beach, the 1930’s era Barton Cabin has been recently remodeled, featuring all-new modern amenities while maintaining its original rustic feel. Everything about the cabin is cozy, with one bedroom and bath upstairs (including a queen bed and compact washer and dryer) and one tiny bedroom downstairs (also with a queen bed) along with a second bath and fully equipped kitchen. Located 3/4 of the way down the bluff, it’s sixty stair-steps from the parking area to the cabin, but it’s worth the walk: the cabin has private beach access a few more steps further down, shared only with one set of neighbors. The views from inside and out are as good as any beach views in Oregon; sit on the couch or deck and watch the surf crash into rock formations from Face Rock to Elephant Rock. The neighborhood is friendly and walkable. Lord Bennett’s restaurant is practically across the street, and the shops and restaurants of Bandon are all only a mile away.

Loved this cabin. It was clean and uncluttered. Views from every room. The beach is mindblowing! Notes: bring earmuffs to block the wind and an eye mask for sleeping. Also, a shoe rack and coat hooks would help keep the small space tidy.
Loved the house and especially the incredible view from the deck. We were lucky to have clear and relatively warm weather. The luggage slide was very helpful and we were glad it was dry weather. We would definitely stay here again. Regards, Ken
Very cute cabin with an incredible view. We carted most of our stuff in backpacks which made the stairs much easier. Highly recommend for a cozy getaway.
Such a beautiful beach cottage for 2! My husband & I enjoyed the Christmas holiday watching 30 foot waves roll in from the Pacific. The storm watching was amazing. The cottage is perfectly renovated and decorated. Very simple, clean, everything we needed. The property manager was also so helpful! Thank you for the perfect stay. We will definitely book again!
This property is perfect for small groups! The view was priceless and interior was clean and functional. Be prepared to walk up/down 50 steps to access the property.
The house was fantastic! My family of 4 really enjoyed everything about our stay. We loved that this house was right on the beach with breathtaking views from the deck and quick access down to the beach. The house had everything we needed for our stay and was perfect! The stairs down to the house were not a problem for us. We liked that the grocery store was nearby. I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else!!!
This property is truly special. The location and views are absolutely incredible. We loved sitting on the deck and watching and listening to the ocean. We saw whales go by and had a double rainbow! The house is really charming and very well appointed (All Clad pots and Williams & Sonoma cookware!). The beds were Serta and so comfortable, along with great sheets and towels.
Communication with property management was excellent. Both email and phone calls were handled promptly and professionally. They were gracious in giving us an early check-in and welcomed feedback on our stay.
It's on the small side and tight in a few places, but it worked wonderfully for my husband and I. There are A LOT of stairs between the cottage and parking lot, but they thoughtfully put in a slide for luggage, etc with a bin and rope/pulley system.
The beach is right there, down several concrete steps and it felt oh-so-amazing to walk right down to the sand and waves and Oregon coast rock formations. Each day I felt so grateful to get to stay there and experience the coast that way.
From the moment we got to the cabin to the moment we left we felt right at home but better. The house was spotless. The beds/pillows were amazing and comfy. The deck with that view and the accessibility to the beach just a few steps away. The sunsets were breathtaking. We were able to walk the Circles of the Sands, and watch the horses stroll along the beach. The sound of the waves each night! I couldn't say enough about this place. We will DEFINITELY be back! We all LOVED every minute of this place! The communication with the host was easy and efficient! I am so thankful we found this little gem of a home. Thank you so much for such an amazing place and opening your doors to everyone that gets to rent this place! You have quite the slice of heaven! All the work you put in has paid off and is just what a vacation home should feel and look like!!! Thank you again!!!
Entering the Barton Cabin we were immediately struck by its charm and the breathtaking views. It is truly obvious how much love and care was given to renovate without losing any of the original warmth of the home. The kitchen is perfectly appointed, along with both bathrooms. Great big fluffy towels and high end fixtures. We loved the view from the second floor bedroom and the comfortable bed was made more cozy by the great linens not to mention the wonderful sound of the waves. We sat on the deck and reveled looking at the dramatic rocks and the waves, we relaxed on the couch in front of the electric fireplace in the evening and took many walks on the beach. At times it seemed like we were in our own romance novel.
Won’t deny there are 50 plus steps straight down from the car to the house, but I guarantee the steps are absolutely worth it.
Pottery Barn vibe to this 1930s beachside cabin, nicely refurbished and decorated. Ocean views and surf sounds lulled us to sleep at night. It's a small cabin, but the owners managed to fit three couches and coffee table into the living room, so all of us had a place to stretch out in the evening. The pulley-and-chute system next to the staircase (60 steps!) helped get our belongings down-and-up the steep incline (bring a pair of work-gloves to help with pulling the rope). The listing does not show this, but there is actually a 12-cup drip-coffee-maker in the place (not just the Keurig shown in the photo). Stairs to the upstairs bed/bath are steep and narrow, so pay attention and you'll be all right. Some toiletries were missing (only a container of conditioner and body-wash, no shampoo), but we brought our own anyway. The back door (where the electronic lock is) also has a knob-lock, which we unfortunately turned and managed to lock ourselves out of the place. There is a lock-box (with the same combo as the electronic lock) that contains the key for the knob-lock. Wi-Fi went out during a rainy day, but management was responsive (and we fixed the Wi-Fi ourselves by unplugging and replugging the modem/router thing). Loved our stay in Bandon, and hope to return again soon.
