Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed staying at this house! All four of us are flatlanders, so it took a bit to get used to the drive in and then the house itself sits on the side of a hill. However, the house was very clean, it had everything we needed, there were plenty of beds and the best part for us was the back porch! We spent a lot of time out there, just talking and relaxing.

Super accommodations

They had everything. We have been to some that were very bare bones so it was amazing to have the comfort of home. You walk in and it's so inviting. I wish I could wake up and do coffee on that screened porch every morning. They were so helpful and easy to get ahold of whenever we needed anything. It was the best week we've had in a long time. There was enough room for everyone and cozy at the same time. Thank you for sharing your house with us. forfor the rest of my live

Adorable cabin near hurricane marina

We loved our stay. The cabin is well equipped with the essentials (and more) - we enjoyed the comfortable beds, convenient outlets and usb plugs, and the thoughtful, charming decor. Jeremy was a great host and we look forward to another stay here in the future.

Wakefest 2024

We stayed here for Wakefest 2024. House was very clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. Communication with the owner was excellent. Jeremy was very quick to respond with any questions we had. The community boat ramp was very convenient. You just need to be very careful on the roads, especially if you’re pulling a boat. There are some sharp turns and steep hills.

Very Accommodating

The cabin was wonderfully equipped with everything our family needed for our weeks stay at the lake. Communication from the host was great and we really enjoyed our time there! If you are bringing a boat/trailer, just be mindful that the road in and out is a steep and narrow gravel, mountain road. If you don’t have experience maneuvering on roads like that, you may want to leave the boat at home and rent one from the marina.

Outstanding

The home was very well appointed from beginning to end and communication with the host spot on. What I appreciated most was the simplified check out process. I've booked many short term rentals in the past and none were this streamlined. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this home again in the future.

Hi! We are the Quarles. We love to spend time as a family, explore the outdoors, travel, and experience other cultures. We are both big readers and love history, which adds to our love of travel. We are also passionate about creating spaces that invite togetherness, rest, rejuvenation, and a sense of peace. We hope if you stay in one of our properties you will find this to be true!

Why they chose this property

We love visiting Center Hill Lake and the surrounding state parks! With so much to offer, you could explore this area for weeks at a time! Or if you don't have quite that much time, the close proximity to Nashville (right around an hour) makes this the perfect place for a quick getaway. The lake itself is nestled beautifully among the rolling hills of Tennessee. The water is clear and inviting, perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, or just lounging by the water.

The surrounding state parks are where the real adventure begins. Edgar Evins State Park is located just down the lake from the cottage. It's like stepping into a postcard with its lush forests, towering bluffs, and miles of hiking trails. Plus, there are plenty of spots for a picnic or a stroll along the lake shore.

If you're up for a short drive, don't miss out on Burgess Falls State Park. Here, you'll find some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the state. The main attraction is Burgess Falls itself, a 136-foot cascade that will leave you speechless. There are also smaller falls and cascades scattered throughout the park, each one more beautiful than the last.

And let's not forget about Rock Island State Park. This place is a true hidden gem with its rugged terrain, scenic overlooks, and fascinating history. Be sure to check out the Great Falls, where you can watch the mighty Caney Fork River plunge 30 feet into the gorge below. It's a sight you won't soon forget.

Perhaps the best thing about Center Hill Lake and the surrounding state parks is the sense of peace they offer. There's something truly special about being surrounded by nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So whether you're seeking adventure or simply a place to unwind, you'll find it all right here in this little corner of Tennessee. Welcome to paradise!
