Logan's Retreat

Property was just as advertised. Clean, spacious, with plenty to do. My partner and I spent several days relaxing, local shopping, and using the hot tub alot. Then we had 2 family members come down and the grandson really enjoyed the basement and the barn. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back. The hosts were great. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay. Debby and Richard.

Weekend away.

My boyfriend and I came out to have a weekend away from normal life and just enjoy each other. We had a great relaxing time. Played some pool got in the hot tub and some games they had there. We never left the house. Would stay again.

Relaxing Stay

My boyfriend and I needed a holiday get away. This place was perfect. The location was very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub was very relaxing ( we did have to use google on how to warm up the hot tub again on day 2 of our stay though, to be fair we have never used a hot tub before and didn’t realize you should warm it up with the cover on first) The basement was really neat with a pool table and foosball and a really nice blue tooth speaker. The rec barn was really cool too, with it being winter time I thought we were gonna use it more. But the weekend we were up was very nice and we were able to hike all day instead, so we didn’t get a lot of use out of it. But this would be a great place to stay with families or friends with all the activities they have.

Quiet area. House was spacious. Lots of fun things to do. In the country so service not great. Not for Internet people. 15 mins from town was perfect . Driveway sucks. Very steep and bumpy. Especially in the dark. Besides that everyone enjoyed our trip. Thanks

Couple-cation

My boyfriend and I used this for a weekend away. We were only about an hour away from home but felt like we were off the map. We hung out, didn’t leave the property all weekend and didn’t get bored. The barn and basement were full of activities to keep us occupied. The kitchen was stocked so we could cook all day Saturday, and the fire pit and hot tub were a great way to unwind from the day.

Couples retreat

The place was pretty good for the price! Basketball, cornhole, pool table, foosball, pond, and hot tub. It wasn’t perfect. We had some water pressure issues and the pool table is in a tight spot but overall, it was pretty good. The weather got cool on us so the fishing wasn’t great but if you want a place that really has everything you can think of to do, this is it!

Great Stay!

It was a great stay at the property while we were on town to visit a college. Even though it was cold, we found a lot to do. The property had everything you would need with a great grill and hot tub! Will stay again!

Disappointed with no Internet / WIFI or TV

We booked this property for a stay of three nights 4 days. Upon arrival we found the property to be located in a rather run down area. The property itself looked very nice but the house trailer at the bottom of the property was rundown and rather sketchy looking. On check-in we checked out property which looked very similar to the photos the property owner listed. Immediately we noticed that the Wi-Fi and the internet were not working which was an issue for us because one of the main reasons we booked this home was so that our 13-year-old daughter in 16-year-old son would not be driving us crazy without internet. It was clearly stated on the list of things provided that internet and Wi-Fi were provided. There were four Roku TVs located throughout the house that were virtually useless due to the fact that there was no Wi-Fi. My wife contacted the property owner who stated that they knew there were some issues and were looking to change providers and that he would contact the provider but did not know if they would be able to do anything. The beds in both of the bedrooms looked great, but were a lot firmer than we are used to sleeping in so there were quite uncomfortable. We were booked to stay at the property for check in on Monday until checkout on Thursday but decided to leave midday on Wednesday. If the property owner had listed that the internet and Wi-Fi were not reliable, we would not have rented this property to begin with. Listed does not mean it works.

We had a great time! Kids aged from 6-13 and all had fun. So much to do at the house and we loved hiking and going out to eat. Our phones didn’t work at the house but it did have WiFi but WiFi went out and didn’t get a hold Of owner but we knew about where to go and enjoyed a few days off grid!😆

Short retreat

Place was nice and spacious. Some of the cabinets were full of food crumbs and in the bedrooms it was a weird smell. And me being a maintenance person I did see a few things that needed to be repaired. I would definitely recommend some deodorizers. The beds were a little hard then we were all used to but the bedding was beautiful and clean. Overall it was beautiful and it would have been nice for stargazing except the telescope didn't work and it would have been nice to do a little fire but no firewood. For my first visit I was pleased I had to sleep on the couch because the bed was hard but for the short notice that we booked this the renter was very accommodating for us to check in early so it wasn't bad it was beautiful just supplying some input will possibly look at f****** again in the future

Great Experience at Secluded Location

We had a wonderful trip at this cabin. My husband & father-in-law took full advantage of the hot tub. My husband also tried to fish a little in the pond. The location was nice because it was close to Logan yet far enough away that you were partially secluded. There isn't too much traffic down the road & the area was pretty quiet. We didn't get a chance to hang out in the barn because there were A LOT of Asian lady beetles. I'm talking enough that you could sweep them into heaping piles. We figured that was typical of that time of year & location so weren't very concerned. Other than that, this was a wonderful place to rest at the end of our long days.

Terrible stay i must say, not all that bad but cmon, bathroom light didnt work, hottub was on a switch were u could use it only at certain times, and the pool table wasnt even red felt like it was showed in the pictures, and one last thing fix ur door jams and ur locks did not feel very safe at night, decent but what i paid for it should of been better than the pictures!!!!

Perfect weekend with the boys

My friends from high school still get together for a “camping” weekend once a year. As we approach our 40s, it is always a great chance to reconnect. This cabin was perfect for us. We loved the rec barn and the huge lawn for hours of knockout, bocce ball and kan jam while we still pretend we are much younger. The owners answered the few questions we had promptly and politely. 💯 recommend this cabin!

50th anniversary

We gifted my parents with a week stay for their 50th anniversary. They are on their way home now and they had a blast! They caught a total of 6 fish, which is pretty good since it was only in the 40s and snowing the first day they were there. They had fun hiking all day, coming home and playing games until dinner, then relaxing in the hot tub at night. The only issue they had was the swarm of bees on the porch. Might want to look into spraying for that. Thanks so much for a great trip!

Dirty and Mice - Not a good stay.

1. Mice. We woke up the first morning to find mice droppings on the kitchen counters. Looking around, there were drawers that showed significant mouse activity. The owner did respond by sending someone out. Regardless, the use of the kitchen was unnerving. 2. The property is not clean. The house has not been cleaned well. There is dust/dirt accumulated along the edges of the floors. When I took my shoes off inside, my white socks were brown on the bottoms within 10 minutes - the floors were just not clean. Walking in, there was a used ashtray on the front porch. There was some sort of clear sticky substance (I honestly don't want to know) on the couch. I cleaned this up so my family didn't accidentally touch it. Most of the bedding appeared clean, there was one blanket that had clearly been used and just thrown in the closet. The counter in the barn had sticky drink residue on it. 3. Basement has water issues. The entire basement smells of mold. The photographs of the basement are clearly different than the current condition. The flooring and pool table are completely different. We didn't make it through one game of pool before my allergies started going nuts. This was really a disappointment because the kids enjoy playing pool. 4. Hot tub was filthy. It worked, and the jets were strong. We got in, and as we sat there, noticing a ring around one side of the hot tub. There was a residue of grey debris floating on the surface. It stuck to the sides of the tub and your skin. There was no smell of chlorine. This was a real disappointment after hiking all day. 5. Recreational items in disrepair. The pool table was broken in places. The walls under the felt were broken down. The corn hole game in the barn was warped with water damage. Overall this was not a good stay for us. None of us felt particularly comfortable because of the level of uncleanliness. The broken equipment limited what the kids could do. I would mention that the area where the cabin is located is very run down. This might not bother some people, but it was at a level where we didn't feel particularly safe when first driving up. By the driveway is a very dilapidated property with one of the buildings down to the studs and leaning over. There are multiple buildings on the street that appear condemned. This wasn't too noticeable from the property. There were more issues, but VRBO only gives you so much room for your review.

Short get away

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Logan’s Retreat! The property was beautiful - we enjoyed swinging on the front porch swing, listening to all of the birds and taking in the surroundings. The pond was nice - we were unsuccessful at catching any fish though. The activities in the barn were great!! Especially on our one rainy day. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

What a great time!

We specifically rented this cabin because we have two boys: 15 & 10. I wanted them to have enough to do to stay off their devices and this place delivered! We spent all our days rotating between basketball, foosball, pool and playing our own games we brought. It was so fun! We stayed over Thanksgiving 2022 and had planned a lovely steak dinner instead of turkey. Unfortunately the grill wouldn’t light, and there were no lighters in the cabin. Our steak wasn’t as good in the oven. :( Overall the house is a bit dated, but still completely functional! Here are a couple cons: -The thermostat would default to a specific temp (65° I think?) and it was cold. We would turn it up and within an hour the temp was back at its default. We would wake up freezing in the morning. While I understand the reason for this, it’s not friendly for renters who need to adjust. - Under the beds do not get swept/vacuumed. The dust was inches thick. I have a severe dust allergy so I peeked under the bed skirts and sure enough…gross! - Grill wasn’t functioning. - pool table is very hard to use because the sticks hit the wall. Also could use some updated pool sticks to be honest. Most were missing the ends. Overall we are considering a stay again this year!

Fun Property for Kids!

We had a great time spending a few days here after Christmas. The kids loved what they called the “fun barn!” It gave us another option for something fun to do when we weren’t hiking. Also, the pond out back was beautiful and peaceful. If I’m being honest, the floors were a little dirty, and we did have a mouse in the kitchen, but the owners offered us a $50 discount (which we declined) and planned to send someone out the next day. Overall, we had a great stay!
