Just three blocks from downtown Charlottetown, Gerald House is a 125 year old home which has been tastefully renovated while retaining its character and charm. Nestled among the trees on a quiet street , this house has an eclectic mixture of antique and new furnishings. It's the perfect place to spend time in P.E.I.
Located on the first floor is a sunporch, living room, dining room, kitchen and powder/laundry room with front loading washer and dryer. French doors separate the diningroom and living room. The livingroom has a 50 inch LG tv with cable and wireless internet. A completely set up kitchen containing all the dishes and appliances you would ever need to make your vacation enjoyable and entertaining a pleasure. Located off the kitchen is a small deck with a BBQ and an eating area.
The second floor has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a twin bed. The main bathroom is upstairs and is exceptionally large and bright. You can enjoy your stay in air conditioned comfort. throughout the house.
Grocery stores, liquor store, pharmacies, bus stops and many restaurants and theatres are located within blocks of this residential area. Explore the city on foot! No car required.
Located in the historic Upper Prince area, Gerald House is surrounded by some of the oldest and most beautiful houses in Charlottetown.

Charlottetown House

Had a great experience. Everything was supplied except your food. We were close to University Street and the grocery stores, restaurants and etc. was minutes away.

Awesome Hosts and Property!

We have stayed in many places and this one has become one of our all-time favorites! We came out to see our friends in Halifax and our spouses were interested in attending the fiber festival in Charlottetown, so we booked here based on the location and stellar reviews from guests.

I had an awesome stay at this beautiful home! It is so close to everything but on such a quiet little street, the owners were fantastic and the house has everything you need.. lawn chairs down to umbrellas! Will definitely stay here again, thanks for having me!

Nice peaceful spot outside town centre

Older style house with nice garden and free parking in a quiet area a mile or so from waterfront and restaurants. We walked in each night, a fair way but manageable. Decking gets morning sun, but easy to lift chairs off onto lawn for afternoon sun. Very pleasant stay and easy to access whole island from here

Great location and house, would stay here again

Stayed here for a week while in PEI for Canada Winter Games. It was close to downtown, UPEI, and restaurants. The house was very clean and had everything you would need. Kathy was great and quickly answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful pet-friendly property!

We arrived later than planned and tired from the drive, but we were thrilled to see a beautiful home awaiting us. The property was clean, hosts were friendly when they met us to check-in, and we were able to bring our pups along to enjoy the fenced-in yard. The amenities were top notch, and the location was close to everything! We will definitely keep you in mind for future trips to the island!

Everything we needed

Everything we needed was at this house, including pet friendly hosts and fenced property. The house was conveniently located close to downtown and grocery stores. It was a great place for our family including our dog while we attended our son's college graduation.

Great home and location to amenities

This is our first stay at a VRBO home and it was an excellent experience. Kathy and Bobby met us at the home to give us a tour and some recommendations for local activities. The home is very spacious, clean, comfortable, well-decorated and is equipped with almost everything you would need. A very minor improvement to our stay would be if there was a dishwasher. Overall, we would definitely book again!

Very well appointed and well located

We enjoyed our 2-night stay very much. We could walk to town for a leisurely walking tour of lovely Charlottetown and also walk to the nearby grocery and restaurants. The kitchen had every pot, pan, and gadget we could imagine, plus a washer and dryer, a grill, and even a cooler and picnic basket for our day touring PEI. Having only 1 full bath was a slight drawback, but not a big deal for our group of 4 adults. Very nice to have salt, pepper, coffee, tea and even cream provided!

Charlottetown house

We enjoyed our stay in Charlottetown at Kathy and Bobby’s charming home . It was extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need . The house is in a perfect location for walks to the harbor and park . There is grocery store very close by to get anything you might need. The fenced in yard was a perfect for our dogs to run safely . Overall , a great experience .

The unit was perfect for our family - 5 adults and our dog. The house is close to downtown/water, was clean, and very well-equipped - bedding, towels, kitchen equipment. The owners replied promptly to my inquiries. I highly recommend this rental.

Everything you need for an enjoyable stay

Family with 2 adult children used this great property as our home base for exploring area. Excellent communication with owners and met us at property at our arrival to tour house and ensure we had all we needed. Gracious to have coffee cream and milk in fridge for first morning coffee. Nice selection of keurig coffee and tea bags to start our day. Kitchen well appointed with everything you need to cook at home. This property is very thoughtfully stocked with what you could possibly need for your stay. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash, more than adequate towels, TP and Kleenex. Further, shopping bags, umbrellas, ponchos, picnic basket and blanket. Local brochures available and AC in each bedroom made our stay comfortable during the hot spell. Nicely located for east walk to main sites of downtown. Close to grocery as well. House is like a stay at your favorite aunt and uncles. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when back in area. Thanks!!

Spectacular stay in Charlottetown PEI

We went to PEI for a New Year's Eve Wedding and to spend some time with our son. We had first made reservations at a hotel downtown, but decided we wanted more room and comfort to visit with our son and many friends and family in the area. We searched on VRBO and came across Kathy and Bobby's home on the site, then made our reservations. It was one of the best decisions we have made. The property is even better than it looks online, and we have found that does not happen often. The house was spotless and has had a beautiful upgrade, our friends and family could not believe how charming it is. The home is located off University Ave very close to downtown. Although in the city area, it is off on a side street in a very quiet area for the location. We can not say enough about the owners Kathy and Bobby, they are two of the most Gracious individuals we have met in many years. They met us at the house late in the evening, showed us the property, and left us a large amount of K-Cup coffee packets, along with Milk and Cream for our coffee. The house has a half bath downstairs with washer and dryer, and a large full bath upstairs with plenty of hot water. Three bedrooms upstairs are well appointed with comfortable mattresses and coverings, I cannot begin to describe how comfortable we were in this property. The evening it snowed, they came by and shoveled the walkway. Now for the Rest of the Story. On our last night we had dinner with our son downtown and returned to a wonderful thank you card and a great bottle of wine, how many times does that happen. My wife Beverly and I would strongly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a beautiful older home close to downtown Charlottetown, with two of the most pleasant owners you shall find on the Island !
