Lived here while working in the area

We were in the area working on an event and needed a place for some crew members. It was close to a lot of things, including the venue, and a cute neighborhood overall. There was an issue with the water, which was resolved quickly after communicating with the owner.

Adorable spot!

Easy access to downtown without being nosy, crowded. The property is appropriately historical and quirky but plenty comfortable.

Newport Get-Away

We booked this place but it wasn't available at the last minute so Sondra switched us to a different apartment she had down the street from it. The apartment was larger but she honored our booking cost for this one. The location(for both) was amazing! Close to town without being in the middle of it so you have some calm as well. Perfect for social distancing & ideal to walk everywhere. It came with a parking space which is definitely a must in Newport. The decor was quite similar to this place: Newport preppy vibe that feels fresh like a boutique hotel as opposed to someone's apartment. Zero clutter which was refreshing. We had all of the amenities necessary to eat at home when we wanted to :such as a toaster/blender & coffeemaker as well as plenty of glasses, plates, pans etc. The apt was larger than this one but you can see they are owned/run by the same person so I imagine they are quite the same. We did bring our own sheets and towels which definitely ate up car space but I think that's why the prices were more reasonable so it's worth it. Overall we were pleased and would return to one of Sondra's properties in the future/hopefully this one!

Perfect for a couple visiting for the weekend

The property was clean and cooled down quickly once we turned on the window ac units. Wish we had known in advance to bring our own sheets and towels. (this was not due to the owner miscommunication but due to all email going through the vrbo app - and us not checking). The one complaint was lack of spoons (3) and bowls (3) - there were at least 8 of everything else...

The house is lovely - typical old Newport style

We rented the 3rd floor unit - it suited our needs well - luckily there was air conditioning which worked effectively. The only critiques we have are: The shower leaks pretty badly - in front and on the side by the toilet - there was nothing to mop up the water with. The kitchen while plenty big enough lacked a few items that is nice to have in a rental type of environment: there were only 3 chairs in the kitchen - not good with four staying and the place is designed for 4 or more it would be very nice to have a couple more good kitchen knives It would be very nice to have dishing washing soap provided - again when coming in to a rental this is appreciated so you do not have to go out immediately - the drying towels were great spare toilet paper was slow in getting to us some of the dishes need to be added to - again if the place is suits for 4 then all the supplies should reflect that. Otherwise we found this unit very convenient as we were sailing at Sail Newport - we managed to walk into town one evening for ice cream and one morning walked to the Boat Yard - so it was beautifully situated. It was just some of the finer points that need to be checked. Otherwise it worked well and we would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

Views of the Bridge with a glass of wine!

What a great experience from making the reservation with an owner who is knowledgeable about the area to staying at this charming home. The house had everything we needed from the fully stocked kitchen to the adorable bedrooms and the best part were the stunning views of the Newport Bridge while we sipped wine purchased from the wine store down the street. The house is a quick walk to downtown, near the Viking Hotel and 1 block from shops and amazing restaurants. What a great find for a lovely getaway!
