Our stay was canceled one hour before check in on Christmas Eve. We were able to find hotel rooms but it was all inconvenient and we couldn’t get the hotel rooms until Christmas night. We salvaged our holiday and Vrbo was extremely helpful but I do not recommend this property.
The host was very helpful with everything. Quick to reply and helped with anything we needed. The place was great and had everything we needed and a spacious stay as well! Great location, it wasn’t far from the city and easy to navigate around with the train. 100% recommend to stay here.
Great apartment, pictures were pleasantly accurate but location was a few blocks away from listing address. Comparable neighborhood, so not a problem. Everything fresh and new including super comfy beds with soft bedding. Lots of options in the neighborhood for food, coffee and groceries etc. Two subway stations within 5 min walk, parks and playgrounds nearby too. Free on street parking easy to find. Would stay here again.
A couple days before our stay hadn't heard from host... after several attempts to contact including getting VRBO involved. Finally the night before we were supposed to arrive received a message asking what time I wanted to check in - then they proceeded to ghost me after my response... Fast forward to day of arrival - still had no check in info after reaching out several times directly and through VRBO. While on phone with customer service got notified the reservation was cancelled (due to "emergency") about 30 min before 5 of us were to board our cross country flight, and the remainder of our party had already set our on a 6 hour road trip... The host did at least refund the stay, and VRBO gave us a credit for our hassle (which basically offset the extra cost of a last minute Expedia reservation for 7 which I had to make using the wifi on the airplane). As much as customer service attempted to assist - other than the credit they basically weren't able to be much help from a non-responsive host. Can't really say if your experience would be better than ours or the actual location/specifics stuff but the fact we were left without accommodations the day of felt a review was absolutely warranted.
Me and 9 friends were running the NYC marathon to benefit curechm.org and this property was a perfect jump off point for us. If I could give the owner 6 stars for communication I would.
If you are like me and have heard rough stories about the Bronx, I encourage you to give it another try! This place is a great launching point for all that NYC has to offer.
I stayed with my family of 7 and this property accommodated us very well. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs and a 2-bed shared downstairs basement unit with 1 bathroom. The property very much looked like the pictures posted. The location is in walking distance of the subway. Overall I was very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort this home provided.
Zero communication. The host refused to communicate. I had to make other arrangements. Then they refused to work with me on a refund. Would not recommend booking this
I had a fairly large group, and we all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful
home. The only issue was parking. I wish there was designated parking instead of 1st come 1st serve. Street parking fills up fast. Overall it was an awesome experience ☺️.
The property itself was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The owner was kind, accessible, and responded promptly to all needs. The neighborhood is a bit noisy as there were several times the neighboring music or parties were loud but nothing lasted all night. The location is easy to get to main thoroughfares to make driving or getting a ride easy. If driving just be mindful it is typical NYC street parking, so time of day on finding parking matters. Otherwise great space and would easily recommend and would stay again in the future.
Absolutely terrible stay, creepy owner, do not book here.
This stay was a nightmare from the minute we walked in. There was a giant leak and toilet water dripped over me and all my stuff. The worst part was the property manager entered the property while we were staying there without telling us at least once, but who knows how many times. I was staying with my elderly mom and aunt and it made us feel very UNSAFE. He texted instead of using the app, and has been texting me constantly since my stay a month ago. He literally texts me “good morning”- it’s so weird. I literally had to block him to stop him harassing me. Also everything in the place was broken. The kitchen table was so unstable it was literally unusable. The beds were uncomfortable. There really weren’t many highlights, other than the neighborhood was nice. Do not stay here unless you wish to be harassed for months after your stay. Definitely do not stay here if you are a woman or otherwise vulnerable. The manager does not have boundaries.
Enjoyed the stay. Property manager checked in to make sure things were good with location. Only down was construction on road in front. But the noise was minimal.
Would recommend it to anyone.
We had a great time. The place is very comfortable for a group and very well located. Everything was nice and clean. I also appreciate the excellent communication with the host.

Hidden Gem in South Bronx
This apartment was a great place to share with 7 people of various ages. We loved the furnishings and the set-up.
