Hidden Gem

We went up to Lexington to fulfill a bucket list by going to Snow's BBQ. We knew we were out in the country but didn't know what a peaceful cute cottage we would spend the weekend in until we arrived. As we were unpacking the owner James came to greet us and gave us a tour in a small Fire Truck into town so we knew where to head in the morning for our adventure. Fresh warm baked bread greeted us as we walked into the cottage. Homemade hot honey too! We had a lovely time on their property which truly is a little piece of heaven on earth! Highly recommend as the amenities are more than you would expect and the hospitality from Amy and James was outstanding. They would give you the shirt off their backs if needed. If you're ever in the area of Giddings or Rockdale, stay at their cottage - you won't be disappointed!

Host profile image
We are James and Amy.

We moved to Texas from Colorado where we were hosts for Screaming Goat Acres to pursue bigger farm living. We call our property She Boss Farmstead. We raise hay for cattle and bees for honey.

We love meeting new people and sharing our home and look forward to hosting you.

Thank you for staying with us!

Why they chose this property

We chose Lexington as we desired small town and country living. We love the people here and the pace

Our road is quiet, allowing for long leisurely walks and serene dinners al fresco.

What makes this property unique

When you come, expect to relax!

Guests have full access to The Cottage as well as our 16 acre property.

You can hang out with the horses, pick veggies and herbs from the garden, visit with the cows across the road, and soak in the night sky.
