The PERFECT place to stay on coastal Maine!
Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The location was exactly what we wanted; quiet and away from the crowds of Bar Harbor but still close enough to drive in for shopping, restaurants and Acadia. Depending on traffic, it took about 40-45 minutes to get to Bar Harbor/Acadia. The drive was beautiful and easy. Personally we drove down three days during our stay. There are also a number of good restaurants close to the property and Ellsworth has a really cute Main Street about 20 minutes away with shopping and restaurants. Ellsworth also has a Walmart and big box stores if you need supplies.
The property is absolutely stunning. There is a lot of open space for kids to play and there is direct access to the ocean. During low tide, our kids loved going down to the water to look for sea shells, crab claws, etc. The outdoor fire pit overlooks the ocean and the sunsets were incredible.
Inside the property provides everything you need with some high end finishes. While the apartment is one large room (not including the bathroom), the layout feels quite open and large and was perfect for our family of four. The best part was the huge sliding glass door and large outdoor porch area looking out at the ocean!
Lesley was an amazing host and incredibly responsive and helpful. She was located near the property and our two boys loved Ms. Lesley. She took the time to connect with them and showed them how to clam! This is an incredible place and we cant wait to come back!
