PSU vs Maryland

Found this location while looking for a last minute place to call home for the weekend. It’s about a 40 minute scenic drive through the mountains from state college. The property and house were clean and inviting. Everything was as described. We will look to stay on future visits.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Coffee on the screened porch was awesome and relaxing. You have to drive quite a ways thru the state park to get to the house, on gravel roads. We didn’t have any issues other than there is no service, so screen shot your directions or be sure your gps is set well in advance for going and leaving the property.

Decent

Too remote to drive to at night and scary noises including dripping sounds and a scream! Need newer bedding and towels. Overall decent.

Great stay in lovely area

We were so grateful to have this space to celebrate our son/brother as he was a groom-to-be! Other than a little mixup with the entry code, the stay was terrific! Peaceful surroundings and nice (and clean) cabin. Property owner kind and responsive. Not great cell reception in area (be prepared) so perfect get-away spot! Thank you!

Exceeded expectations!!!

I booked Lydia’s cabin for a short trout fishing trip for 3 of us guys. We were blown away by the accommodations, especially the two screened porches and the ample supplies of coffee pods, paper products, and charcoal for the grill. There was a little mix up on the door entry code, but other than that everything was excellent. I would definitely book again.

We stayed at this cabin over PSU whiteout weekend and were impressed with the condition and size. This is a rare instance where the actual place is better than the photos! There is a fully stocked kitchen and a comfortable family room. The location is very quiet and there is plenty of screened in porch area to relax outside. The host was very responsive and timely with the door code and some questions I had. A few points that were not a concern for us but could be for others: - It is very far off the beaten path. It is 5 miles back an unpaved mountain road (coming from either the west or north). It is about 35 minutes from State College. - The upstairs bedroom is open (loft) so doesn’t offer full privacy. - There is a TV but only Prime Video and YouTube (and DVDs). Shouldn’t be a problem for most people, especially since there is solid WiFi. Overall, it was a very good value, especially on a game weekend!
