Excellent location on Lake Blackshear, property is on main body of the lake with perfect sunsets and recreational opportunities for the whole family. Conveniently located 2.5 hours south of Atlanta, 3BR/2BA log cabin property features some of the best big water sunsets on Lake Blackshear.

A shaded porch wraps around half the home with wood burning fireplace, dock with large sun deck and covered area, outdoor fire pit by the water and private boat ramp...bring all your water/lake toys!!!

With our private boat ramp you can launch your boat or PWC from the property, leave it safely in the water all week and conveniently park your trailer out of the way and out your view. Lake Blackshear offers more than 20 miles of cruising as well as excellent spots for the best ski and wakeboard runs.

After a full day of sun and fun, dine comfortably on the porch while the sun dips behind the pines to deliver the best sunsets in Georgia. Then enjoy the fire pit by the lake, visiting with friends and family while making s’mores over the fire.

Georgia Veterans Park & Golf Course within 10 minute drive. On-lake dining at two restaurants are a quick 10 minute boat ride away. Several nearby dining options including seafood, steak and BBQ are within a 10 minute or less drive by car. Grocery options nearby also.

The interior of the home offers panoramic views from all of the living areas plus upstairs. With a large, open living/dining/kitchen area, you can gather a crowd without feeling cramped.

Bedrooms: Upstairs: Master with King + twin for young families or those with small children. Downstairs: One Bedroom with queen bed. “Bunk Room” with 2 double beds and 1 twin (up). Beds sleep 10. Full baths upstairs and down.

The living room offers comfortable furnishings, stereo, a wood burning fire place and big screen TV with blue-ray DVD player. “Bunk Room” has TV/DVD/Cable. The washer and dryer are conveniently located on the main floor. All appliances are modern and dependable with a full kitchen, dishwasher and microwave.

Other amenities include: Hardwoods in main living area, wood floors in master, cable + wireless internet. Towels, linens, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, and dishwasher detergent are provided and included in the rental fees.

Home is Handicap accessible (not ADA) including ramp to entry, downstairs bath and wide doorways. This is a family vacation home built and maintained by one family since 1996.

Bachelor Party

We hosted a bachelor party for my best friend and had a great time. I have been to Lake Blackshear several times and this has been the best visit to date. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great laid back spot for those who are looking.

Beautiful retreat from a hurricane evacuation.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was nice enough, a little dusty looking like no one has freshened up the place since the last visitors which looked to be 2 months ago per the guestbook. The cabin is on a lake with other properties all around, even though it was very quiet while we were there. I loved to go sit on the dock and look at the lake. But, their were cobwebs all around the dock. So, i had to brush some of those away first. We slept upstairs since that has a king bed, which is what we are use to. When i pulled the cover back, there was a bug hopping on my pillow case. It took about an hour or so before i made myself lie down. I never did see another bug in the cabin. Thank the Lord. But, the room is hot. There is a portable air conditioner in the room which we used. It was still very hot. We did not get good rest and my back was hurting the last day. We, me specifically, love staying in cabins. This one was no exception. I just think it needs to be freshened up before the next guest arrives. My husband is a painter and said that it needs a paint job. He also noticed a wet spot on the ceiling that looks like it could have been leaking. It didnt rain while we were there. So, im not sure. We did have a relaxing time. Just wish the bed could have been softer and the room could have been cooler. Ps. Someone has stashed a bag of oreos on top of a cabinet in the kitchen. We saw it from upstairs. Lol No telling how long that has been there.

Family Lake Trip

This lake home was a perfect get-away for our family gathering. The home was spacious and well appointed for all of our needs. The property has a relaxed atmosphere, inside and out, with breathtaking sunset views across the water. With plenty of space for three couples, we were able to spend quality time together, whether around the kitchen/dining area, family room, on the porch or out at the dock. My sister-in-law, who is wheelchair bound, was able to get around easily with ramp accessible entry and plenty of room to move about the home & porch. She was able to navigate from the house to the dock easily as well, as the yard is relatively flat and a short distance to the boat dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

Perfect Lakehouse!

We found this dockhouse perfect for our family! My husband caught quite a few fish while the kids swam, went tube riding, and boat riding. The house was well equiped and had everything we needed and more. It was so convenient to have the boat ramp on the property. We are hoping to stay here again next summer!

Relaxing Weekend

My husband and I just wanted a quick getaway to relax. Our daughter and her family decided to go with us and bring their boat since there was a private boat ramp on the property. We had a blast! We loved the cabin and sitting on the back porch overlooking the water. The dock is great to sit on, fish off of and the kids loved jumping off it into the water. On our last day there my son and his family drove over and some friends to spend the day and they enjoyed it as well. We were only a couple hours from home, but felt like another world. We certainly hope to go back! The only thing we had a problem with was finding a restaurant close by without going into Cordele and that had nothing to do with the cabin. Excellent trip!

A wonderful lakeside cabin with all the conveniences and views!

We had a lovely time boating. The boat launch on the property is a big plus! The porch and dock was a favorite place for everyone to gather! The home is spacious with plenty of seating and the big kitchen is supplied with all the necessities for cooking meals! This was our second visit and certainly not our last!

Great place to stay on Lake Blackshear

Embarking on a weekend retreat with friends, we found serenity at this lakeside cabin graced by breathtaking sunsets. The dock became our sanctuary for leisurely fishing and unwinding. Anticipation builds for our next visit, coinciding with the college football season. The residence has a fully-equipped kitchen, plush furnishings, and impeccable cleanliness. I highly recommend.

Cozy Family Getaway on Beautiful Lake Blackshear

Our family of six enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this cozy cabin, well stocked with everything we needed to feel right at home. The location on Lake Blackshear is heavenly, and the sunsets are indeed gorgeous. We took the SAM Shortline to Plains on Saturday, and it was only 15 minutes away. Would recommend and stay again!
