A feeling like coming home

The communication with Jill was fast, easy and right what one needed. The house is wonderful and open and really, really comfortable. It was clean and spacious. If there would have been cushions for the outdoor chairs, it would be a 110%. Would love to come back, great holiday , thank you!

Relaxing stay in the country

The house was very well equipped & accommodated our group of 4 couples comfortably. Jill was lovely & was there to help us out at all stages of the break. It’s a good location to stay in the country for the quiet but also close to the coast. Plenty of walks from the house. The 8 of us had a great time & would definitely come back.

Fabulous family stay!

We had a fabulous experience when we stayed for 4 nights in May/June. There were 7 adults, 1 teen and 4 dogs in our gang! The house was a perfect size and had everything we needed. The bathrooms are lovely with fab showers, the bedding and towels provided were lovely quality and we all found the beds extreme comfy. This really was a perfect base with excellent kitchen facilities, a large lounge and great garden too. The location is great being so close to Yarmouth. Jill is a perfect host! We received really useful information in advance, lots of communication but not too much! and her help booking the ferry tickets (& making last minute changes!) was really appreciated.

isle of Wight

We had a great week at Eastern Lee. The house provided everything we needed. Jill and Sam were very helpful both before we arrived and once we were there. There was a problem with the Wi-Fi, but it was sorted out quickly and without fuss. The beds were all comfortable and the boys loved sharing a room. Getting to all the various places we wanted to visit was easy, and there is a great farm/activity centre just 9 mins away, which served us well on a rainy afternoon. I would definitely recommend a stay at Eastern Lee if you are a family looking to use it as a base for your holiday.

Family holiday on the Isle of Wight

This is an ideal property for a family holiday. There’s plenty of room in the house which is in a quiet location but only a few minutes drive to Yarmouth and Freshwater with shops restaurants etc. Beaches also easily accessible by car, and there’s loads to do on the island for adults and children.

Great place for family groups, in peaceful countryside. Warm and well equipped.

We needed downstairs bedroom and bathroom for older members of the family so this suited us. Walk-in shower was popular. Big living /sitting room gave us all room to sit and watch a film together. Dining table seated all 9 of us! It was useful to have a utility room with backdoor so we could dry the dog after our beach walks. Views were terrific, and stars at night were a feature! Local shops in Freshwater had great fish and the butcher's sausages were tasty. Our hosts left us a welcome pack of local food thanks for that!

Fantastic family home

We had an amazing family holiday at Eastern Lee to celebrate my partners 40th birthday. There were 6 adults and 3 children and the property was the perfect size. The views were amazing, the property was clean and tidy and the kitchen had all we needed. Jill and Steve were very friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive. Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a holiday let on the IOW.

Great location - lovely house.

We stayed in this lovely house for a week in May this year. The house is set in a beautiful quiet location, with wonderful views at the rear of the house to the Downs in the distance. When we stayed in mid May the fields behind the house were just a carpet of vibrant yellow, which made the view all the more dramatic. The house has a large south facing patio with these views. The house is very comfortable and well laid out, lots of space for a large group, family or two couples as we were. Two of the bedrooms and one bathroom are downstairs so this enabled both couples to have their own privacy which worked very well. One of the upstairs bedrooms even has its own bath tub positioned in the bedroom so that you can enjoy the view! The property is well situated for visitors who enjoy the countryside and all its beauty in the West Wight. Great place to stay for walkers, and is 2 mins walk from a bus stop for those who like to use the very good bus system on the Island. It is about 10 mins drive away from Yarmouth and its very attractive harbour. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a very comfortable stay in an attractive rural location.

A Christmas Holiday Review

We've just spent a very happy Christmas week at this property. We were a family of 9 including three teenagers and grandparents in their mid -eighties. The space worked brilliantly with roomy bedrooms and a large open-plan living area. We loved the location- we're great walkers so to be able to stride out straight from the house was a real bonus. There are great trails with fabulous views on the doorstep so it's definitely worth investing in a OS map. We found the owners very helpful and really appreciated the beautiful Xmas tree they arranged for us . There are great coastal paths (or drives),only a short drive away and the Needles , also not far are spectacular .

Lovely Property

Rented this property for New year, looks even better in real life than the pictures. We had a group of ten people, and there was more than enough room to fit us all in. Jill and Steve, were brilliant- quick and efficent with all dealings and return of deposit. Will definetly be looking to rent this property again. It was an enjoyable stay and easy to access. Highly recommended!
