Best value in the valley
Between cost, location, ease, and amenities, we were happy with our stay at Wander Wears Lodge.Location wise, it was near perfect, nestled right in the middle of Wears Valley. Not only does this provide great views of the mountains, but quick, easy access to both the Smokies and nearby tourist towns like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It's also only a stones throw from nearby shops, coffee, and dining. Our room was clean, surprisingly spacious, and had plenty of space for luggage. Beyond basics, like an iron, mini fridge, and TV, it also had a digital game table, which was a great way to unwind after hiking. The one drawback was the small bedside tables were the only place available for tucking away clothes, but honestly, there was so much space elsewhere, it didn't bother us much. We also greatly enjoyed the wooden patio at the front of the lodge, where we enjoyed our morning coffee and a sunset takeout dinner to boot, all with a view of the mountains. Communication and the check in process were seamless. Zach and Joel reached out in advance of check in with helpful info and even provided a check out protocol reminder the night before our departure. The only cons: a bed frame that needed to be tightened (only really bothered one of us) and we weren't sure if the walls were a little thin or if we just had loud neighbors. Either way, pretty minor issues for so many advantages in price, comfort, location, etc. Would def stay here again/would recommend. Thanks Zach/Joel!
