Relaxing, beautiful lake, in a large dock area

Ok so I hate not ever giving 5 stars but I have to be honest for future travelers because I wish I had known a few things before the stay. Positives: Inside area aside from bathroom was clean. Coffee was provided as well as some snacks. Loved the option to have the indoor fireplace. Kayaks were a huge plus! Lake was beautiful. Upper balcony with sectional was nice as well as option to watch tv in bed. Negatives: pictures did not give the impression that we would be inside a large public dock for the stay. I expected it to be more rural from pictures. Didn’t have the best view of the lake as we were inside the cove with boats blocking the view. Fishing poles were available but bait bag was filthy and not usable. The main reason I gave 4 stars was the bathroom. We couldn’t finish our stay because it was so unpleasant. It smaller, the floor was not solid, you had to throw toilet paper in the trash can as it could not be flushed, and we were not informed that the bathroom shower wasn’t pleasant for use until it was time to arrive. The toilet had to be hand cranked and smelled awful the minute you walked in the bathroom. We are smaller people and could barely fit in the area so please keep in mind when booking. It is a small cramped space. Aside from the bathroom- I would have given it 5 stars regardless of the public busy dock. We had to shower off site in a dirty bathroom covered in spider webs.

Floating Accommodations Rock You To Sleep

Retired houseboat in a covered slip. Great environment for relaxation, I wish I had more time to enjoy it. The only negative would be the floor has some soft spots, but that is something mainly boat owners would concern themselves with, not lay persons. I would likely stay again.

Relaxing and Quiet

It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle and this place is definitely a way to do that. We didn’t use a lot of the amenities but they are there. Good restaurants nearby.

Just the getaway I needed

I loved the boat and the surrounding area. I got there a little bit late. I recommend leaving (if coming through a big city) before rush-hour. I was able to kayak out my first night and enjoy the sunset. The shower wasn’t working, but they had a great shower facility you can walk to. There is a little marina shop on Dock B. I spent the first night alone The second night my friend and my mom joined me. We went swimming at recreation lot three which was about a 10 minute drive from marina where the boat is it all depends on traffic. Even in peak season it wasn’t crowded and I couldn’t have picked a better place to get a mental health break. Overall, I was very happy with the boat, location, and the experience. I am an overpacked and disabled so be prepared to Pack lightly if you have issues with mobility. There are carts to use to get luggage and supplies to and from the boat thank goodness. I wish I Could have stayed a whole week or forever! The host was extremely flexible and accommodating. I can’t wait to come back.

Hideaway on the water

Great jumping off point to enjoy a night in Nashville and wake up on the water. Paddling out in the morning in the kayaks provided by our host set the tone for the day.

About the host

I from Tennessee and my husband is from New England. I have a passion for animals and we have a small farm with so many animals. My husband loves the water. So our little houseboat is our compromise and a place to unwind and relax.

Why they chose this property

The dock is extremely peaceful. We love drinking coffee in the mornings and feeding the ducks. I love kayaking and watching the wildlife. The dock is a small community where everyone feels safe and watches out for each other.

What makes this property unique

Back to nature but great restaurants are just down the road.
