About this property
5 Acre Modern Mini-Farm Property with Mountain Views and Lengthy Trout Waters
Guests choose this home because of mountain views, access to trout stream, being minutes from Appalachian Trail; the location (55 miles from Asheville; 43 miles from Boone/Blowing Rock, and 41 miles to Bristol Motor Speedway); Marriott-quality bedding; and pristine clean. Only 2 miles to Appalachian Trail; 30 minutes to Roan Mountain State Park; one hour to Biltmore House in Asheville; and one hour to skiing at Sugar and Beech Mountains. Within 30 minutes to Penland School and same to Blue Ridge Parkway. Buladean is a small close knit safe community located in the majestic Unaka Mountain Range. It is situated in Mitchell County, which is well known for its incredible scenery and naturally occurring Rhododendron gardens. In fact, the Roan Mountain which is visible from the white rockers on the front porch, has the world's largest natural display of catawba rhododendron and has a Rhododendron Festival each spring at peak of bloom. Buladean is a lovely place to get away from it all, yet a convenient location to many of North Carolina's most exciting attractions. The North Toe River flows through the county and joins the Nolichucky River, known as one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in the country. Just a few of the other activities available in the area include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoe trips and downhill skiing. For those wanting relaxation, it's also the ideal location to catch up on reading amidst scenic views. Buladean is just a short drive to Roan Mountain State Park, Grandfather Mountain, the Appalachian Trail and Linville Falls.
