About the host
Hosted by Ann Phillippe

Chico has been my "hometown" since 1986, when I moved here to attend Chico State. This is the first time I have listed my property on VRBO, and am very excited to share my Chico home and town with those looking for a place to call "home", while working away from home.
Why they chose this property
What's not to love about Chico? Young people come to the university, graduate, move away, and end up coming back to Chico. All the time! Chico's the home of Bidwell Park, one of the largest city parks in the nation, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Chico State, and an old downtown vibe that's quintessentially charming. Chico is a bike friendly town. Meandering around the tree lined neighborhoods, riding the 6 mile loop along the creek in Bidwell Park and stopping to swim in Sycamore Pool, or riding over to the organic market, cafes, or the independent movie theater are just a few of Chico's treasures. Chico offers so much. The neighbors are friendly, and helpful, and the house is close to Enloe Medical Center, Trader Joes, and 2 great Farmers Markets. If you're looking for music, great food, recreation, and a home-town vibe, Chico will not disappoint.
What makes this property unique
Put simply, Chico Avenues is comfortable. The leather Lazy Boy reclining couch offers a true respite after a day of work or play, as does the large, pergola covered patio. Both bedrooms have been outfitted with black-out, top down, bottom up window shades, as well as high quality mattresses and linens. The one bathroom is generous, offering a cast iron tub/shower combination, and retro medicine cabinet. Each room was designed with "ease of living", being the priority. Situated on a large corner lot with huge shade trees, Chico Avenues invites rest and relaxation.
