Lake Michigamme Cabin, Your Home Away from Home!

For the months of July and August, rentals will have a minimum night stay of 6 nights Check-in will be Sunday after 3pm EST and check-out will be Saturday 11am EST.

Question: Can I rent the cabin for only 3 nights?
Answer: Yes, but you will pay the 6 night rental fee.


Need to get away? Does the draw of a quiet getaway on waters edge call you? Or, are you looking for a place to stay for the opening of Walleye season? Our cozy Michigamme cabin is the place for you. With three bedrooms, a sofa bed, and an enclosed porch with additional sleeping for that someone looking for added adventure, all your favorite people can be comfortably under one roof. The cabin has private access to the lake and a dock for which you can tie your watercraft after a fun day on the lake. Or, if you wish, you need never leave land and read a book of your choice under the shade of one of the many trees on the property. This location is great for those wanting to use it a a base for hunting the vast areas around, as well, a charming place for friends and family to gather for much needed quality time.

Great cabin for a UP get away

Great property, clean and well equipped. Beautiful waterfront views of lake Michigamme. Nice touch of (gas) wood burner stove to take off the chill. Really nice home away from home!

Cabin on Lake Michigamme

Cute cabin on Lake Michigamme. This was the perfect cabin to come back to after doing day adventures and visiting the different towns around in the area. The view from the cabin looking across the lake was great!

Summer vacation

Amazing time at the cabin! Perfect for our family. Place was spotless and had everything we needed. The lake, beach, fishing off the dock, boating, walks on the road… all brought back great memories of this cabin and I’m so grateful that Mark is taking such wonderful care of this place. Fantastic Family Cabin

This cozy cabin was very clean, well stocked, and just as described. The views of Lake Michigamme are breathtaking. There was plenty to do, even on rainy days. The beach at Van Riper park is just minutes away. The lake access at the cabin is fantastic. We loved it here and would love to stay again!

Great Lakeside Retreat

Nice property, well setup for a decent size group. No wifi or cable, but did have a selection of movies. Verizon cell service was good. Good heating with avaliable extra blankets and space heaters if needed.

Cozy cabin on Lake Michigamme

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is located right on the lake with a few stairs going down to the dock. It was great having a hoist to put my boat on because a couple of the days were very very windy and it kept my boat safe. The fishing on lake Michigamme was good and we truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean though dated it was very functional for our get together with family and a week of fishing. Cabin was well supplied and Mark was a great host and easy to communicate with. We would stay there again and our next Michigamme Fishing Trip.

Beautiful Area

8 of us and one bathroom! I was nervous, but We made it work. The property and area are beaitiful. We had a great week enjoying the U.P and the view. I dont know if we will be back, but if we are I will try and book this again!

Boating and fishing fun

We were impressed with how well stocked the cottage was with portable fans, towels, and other items. TV isn't cable or dish, that we could see, but we had fun watching an old VHS tape. TV wasn't important to us anyways. The place was spacious for us and we were concerned about one bathroom, but we worked it out. We plan to return next summer!

Last vacation together with my parents

A very comfortable cabin. It reminds me of a cabin my grandfathers built but much larger. Quiet with a pleasant view of the lake and respect from guests at adjacent properties. By unlikely coincidence a bee found its way between the contacts for the water pump under the floor. We called the caretaker and he discovered the problem quickly yet, came prepared for a repair. We truly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to our friends. Thank you again for renting us your beautiful place!
