This rental continues to amaze us, even with below average ski conditions we were able to fill the time with lasting memories that the homeowners provided. The place is beautiful inside and out and we will be returning
We stayed in this lovely condo with another family of four over MLK weekend. Plenty of space, tons of bathrooms, great communication with owner. Many rentals claim to be ski on ski off but this one actually is. Walk down a flight of stairs and you’re on Sidewinder. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay! Amazing location right on a trail! It's an end unit, with great views of the top of the Triple Morning Star lift. AJ and Cynthia's home is well furnished, with everything you can possibly need, including books, games and toys. AJ was super responsive despite being on travel and helped us sort through a plumbing issue. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!
This place is much more impressive in person ! Best location we have ever stayed in at Okemo slopeside . Bedding, furniture, kitchen appliances, bathrooms etc..all luxurious . The views from every window are amazing.
Owners are a pleasure and accommodating.
Fantastic accommodations, everything in working order and is probably is one of the best ski in/out locations on the mountain if your crew is intermediate skiers and above not wanting to use the bunny hills. Fantastic view and the hosts/owners were very responsive and helpful!
This is a great property. Access to the trails was great, the views of Solitude base were awesome, and the layout and amenities of the unit were also very nice. We'll definitely look to go back again.
This slope side location is literally four steps from the slope. It’s warm, well equipped and comfortable. The beds are actually more comfortable than the ones in my own home, which is something you can never say about a VRBO rental. The kitchen required no shopping but to replace what was used. Our hosts were lovely. Thank you for everything and we’ll see you again.
Great condo, nicely finished, configured and appointed.
Great kitchen, great shower, super comfy master bed.
Best location on the mtn for ski in/out. Lovely, lovely views.
Easy communication w/owners for any Qs.
This was our third trip to Okemo and the best by far! The location of this home is PERFECT! Ski on, ski off and it is an end unit - gorgeous windows that let in beautiful sunshine all day! The property is updated, has everything you need and is incredibly clean and well kept! The owner was so lovely and made everything so easy! He was super quick to reply, answer all our questions and went above and beyond to give us all the info we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable! The bed was heavenly - so incredibly comfy! And the views from the house were incredible! The kids could sled to the in-door pool at Solitude Day Lodge and had the time of their lives. The house is stocked with tons of games for the whole family, a wood-burning fireplace, and an incredible mudroom to make it super quick and easy for 8 people to dress for skiing and get out the door! The bathrooms were all so nice and updated and so was the kitchen! Top notch all around! And, we rent from Vrbo and Airbnb a few times a year. The pictures are always nicer than the actual place. BUT NOT THIS ONE! For this property, the pictures don't do it justice! It is more than worth every penny! We hope to rent from AJ again next year!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Complete lack of Owner responsiveness is UNACCEPTABLE
1. Upon arrival, the master bdrm was over 80 degrees and still heating. I contacted the owner and she responded clarifying which bedroom, but did absolutely NOTHING. I opened a window which did not help. The next day an Okemo maintenance worker came telling us we were not permitted to open any windows. We indicated the problem and he disabled the auto temperature control. By the evening, the temp was still 80 degrees, so I contacted the owner again. She told me to call the Jackson Gore front desk, i.e. take care of it myself.
2. The condo was not cleaned properly when we arrived. There were multiple expired goods in the pantry, fridge, and freezer. Months to years expired. There was a used open razor on the master bathroom counter. The closets and bathrooms / showers were saturated with owner personal items. The ancient laundry machine was full of smelly wet linens. The upstairs hall bathroom had a whole pile of unwashed towels. I tried to clean and dry everything, but the dryer was so under-powered after 3 cycles I gave up.
3. The walkway to the condo is large enough to fit a car. On a very crowded MLK weekend, we parked there. A neighbor asked us to move the car as people could scratch the car with their gear. The car owner was out skiing so could not give us the key. By the evening, the car owner decided not to move the car since we were going to get 6 inches of snow and did not want to get plowed in. The next day we were told this walkway was a fire lane even though it is not labelled as such and adjacent units had cars parked in same walkway. When we went down to move the car, we found the car windshield had been pelted with EGGS! I sent the photo to the owner who responded with "Did they leave a note?" No apology for not informing us, no empathy, nothing.
3. The owner has not provided any instruction manual. This may have helped with many of the issues described above. It also would have helped when we mysteriously got a message on our computer that the internet password had been changed. After rebooting the modem twice without success, miraculously 30 min later the password was working again.
4. On the VRBO listing the owner states they are flexible with checkout so guests can enjoy a full day of skiing. Not true. When I inquired the owner told me check-out was 11am.
5. Ski on Ski off access is to intermediate terrain NOT beginner.
The condo is nice but sadly the owner provided NO assistance during our stay.
This is a great ski-on / ski-off condo in Solitude. Second floor corner unit directly at the slopes with great views. The condo was very clean and well equipped throughout. Generally the condo was much better maintained and equipped than others we have seen in Solitude. Bathrooms and kitchen have been updated. We stayed as a family of 4 in December 2019 but no problem to fit larger groups with the second bedroom, the bunk bed in the kids bedroom, and larger dinner table. Communications with the owner has been great and easy. Would definitely recommend.
Love this place! Location is perfect and house is well organized and very clean. Feel like staying home. Hope to com back next year! Host is very kind and responsive

Our family has been to Okemo for many years with a large group from our area. The group has been going for almost 25 years and we have gone for probably 15 years. This year we booked through VRBO we were 6 adults and a 6 month old. The unit has everything you could possible want. It is very well kept and very clean. The owners were very accommodating and our family had a very memorable vacation. Thank you for letting us share your home away from home.

Why they chose this property
This is our family second home, and we only rent it rarely and somewhat reluctantly. We think it's a special unit in the premier location on Okemo Mountain. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
