We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the “Barn”. The location was close to Dorset and Manchester. And close to great hiking trails. The house was clean and very comfortable. It was a pleasure to cook in the high-end kitchen.
Such an enjoyable stay. We were looking for comfort and space so we were very pleased. The bed is very comfortable and the family room made us feel right at home. Lots of privacy with the location being at the end of a private seeming gravel road. Thanks for a nice stay!
I just can't say enough about this property. It was above and beyond what we expected. It was clean, well stocked, in good repair, every detail in place. This small but spacious getaway is like walking into a hug. My 3 kids all under the age of 10 played without being on top of each other and I even napped! I can't wait to get back there!
Could not imagine a more peaceful, relaxing vacation stay. Lovely home, completely stocked with anything you need (and things you didn’t know you needed!) The owners are clearly professional, dedicated hosts. Reserve your stay here with total confidence.
This was our second time staying at "The Barn". As in the time before, we had an amazing experience! We skied Bromley, Stratton and Snow and then came home each night to cozy up on the couch after cooking a meal in the well - equipped kitchen. Once again, we left feeling refreshed and renewed. I can't think of a more perfect setting for spending quality family time and feeling the peace of nature. Thank you, John and family for sharing your special place.
Amazing converted barn, homeowners a pleasure to work with
As many others have stated this is the perfect home for a Vermont getaway. The kitchen is stocked well, the decor is perfect and the home itself is very well built with a lot of attention to detail. The loft is perfect for kids to sleep and play. We even got to use the popcorn machine which was a big hit with everybody. John was extremely helpful with restaurant choices and any other questions I had while I was staying there. We are already looking forward to our next trip up! Stay here for your next VT trip you will not be disappointed.
This is our second time staying here and we just absolutely love it. It’s the coziest place ever and has everything you could need. Will definitely be back!
This was a beautiful property excellently located near hiking trails we loved. The kitchen was phenomenally stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful property and quiet area. What’s not to love?
Excellent property. The home was very well stocked with towels and all kitchen essentials. The home itself and the property are both lovely.

Perfect getaway
we have the perfect three night getaway at the red barn in Manchester. The house was beautiful clean and very roomy. The town was only about nine minutes away so we enjoyed going in there for meals and shopping. We would definitely return to the area and house we were really able to relax .

Fantastic ski weekend in a beautiful setting
We had such a great weekend!! We absolutely loved this house, with all the charm of a converted barn and all the convenience of a modern home. What a creative and thoughtful renovation!!! Our kids loved the loft area and had a great time playing in their play area upstairs. We loved the wonderfully stocked kitchen, which made meal preparation incredibly easy. The owner was very responsive, and all of his instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our kids are dying to try the popcorn machine, so we hope to be back soon!!

The perfect VRBO experience!
One of the best VRBO properties we’ve ever stayed at. The space is spectacular! It’s warm and cozy and has everthing you’d ever need, from a well appointed kitchen, to plush linens, vinyl collection, games, etc. It’s close enough to the towns of Dorset and Manchester Center to pop in for a meal or some shopping, but far enough that you feel like you are “away from it all”. We hiked and snowshoed Equinox which we highly recommend. John and Rachael were the perfect owners, responding quickly with any questions we had. We look forward to returning!

A lovely getaway of the highest quality
We loved everything about our stay and expectations were definitely exceeded. I especially appreciated the craftsmanship and details of the ambiance and amenities. It felt more like a home than a vacation rental.

Second Time and just as lovely!
This was our second week long visit here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time a year ago! Again, the home was super clean and had all the accoutrements anyone could possibly want from linens to cookware. The snow covered, peacefulness of the setting was very relaxing and just what we were looking for in our getaway. We hope to be back again in the future!
