About this property
Calling all hikers, bikers, golfers, kayakers, swimmers for summer fun
Calling all hikers, bikers, golfers, kayakers, and swimmers for summer fun. Enjoy the serenity of country living just six miles from Okemo and 16 miles from Killington. Hike through the green mountains, mountain bike at Killington or Arrowhead, play golf at Fox Run Golf Club, swim or kayak at Camp Plymouth State Park or hit the mountain coaster at Okemo. This place was made for those who love every season and all that Vermont has to offer.
As a guest at Bigfoot Chalet, you'll enjoy an open floor plan kitchen, dining and living area (with an exceptionally comfortable sectional).
On your arrival, you will will be greeted with a basket of snacks to enjoy during your stay and a selection of coffee, hot chocolate, tea, apple cider and dairy and nondairy creamers.
A welcome binder will tell you everything you need to know about Bigfoot Chalet and offer suggestions of local activities, restaurants and shopping.
During your stay, you will cook in a full kitchen. After you've prepared a delectable dinner, you will enjoy it around a large rustic dining table with bench and chair seating.
You and your guests will sleep in three bedrooms featuring two queen beds, two twin beds, and on an overflow sleeper sofa in the den if needed.
Despite your majestic and remote surroundings, you won't miss your favorite sporting events or television shows. Bigfoot features two televisions with Dish TV and streaming, a DVD player and a small selection of DVDs.
You will catch up on work at a designated work space featuring fast WiFi.
You'll enjoy your morning coffee on one of Bigfoots' decks or out in the yard in an Adirondack chair by the firepit.
On a clear night, you'll gaze up at the sky awed by the magnificence of the stars in a sky free of light pollution.
As a guest at Bigfoot you will enjoy an open yard or explore the surrounding woods. You will take short walks/drives to Colby Pond to fish and kayak. You will take a 1.5 mile bike ride or drive to Camp Plymouth State Park (rich in history) for a swim and watersports (there's also a great playground). A small fee is required to enter the park.

"Location! Location! So close to ski areas and cute towns to explore. The house is nestled on a woodsy, quiet country road away from the hustle and bustle. Hop in your car and you are close to everything you need: skiing, hiking, biking, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. The house is extremely cozy, clean and welcoming! All the beds and mattresses were so comfy."

"Perfect little place. Awesome little cabin in the woods. Secluded enough for pitch darkness at night, but 15 minutes from a grocery store or gas station. We had three in our group but could easily do three couples comfortably. Nice big eating table. Awesome yard. Firepit. Could definitely see coming back here. We brought the motorcycles and explored what Vermont had, and it didn't disappoint. Great communication with host."
-Tim
"We had a beautiful time just disconnecting and reconnecting with each other. Definitely looking forward to coming back."

"Cute chateau and great location. This was our first trip to Vermont and we couldn't have asked for a better host or place to stay. Jeanne was great about communicating to suggest things to see and making sure we had what we needed. Even a later check out time. We will definitely stay again when we're out this way."

About the host
Hosted by Jeanne Wiggin

While the Bigfoot Chalet has been an active listing for over three years, my husband Matt and I are new owners. We’ve spent decades enjoying VT and all it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
We chose Plymouth for its close proximity to Okemo and Killington. We were drawn to Bigfoot for it's coziness, two acres of land and rental history.
What makes this property unique
Bigfoot is a cozy pet-friendly cabin with fireplace set on two acres of land. Lakes, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and skiing are short steps away. If you love the outdoors you will love this getaway in the woods.
Enjoy a coffee and a good book on the deck. Cook up a feast for your family and friends on a large rustic table and benches. Toast marshmallows in the fire pit.
Recent addition - blackout shades in all the bedrooms.
