REVIEWS

"Location! Location! So close to ski areas and cute towns to explore. The house is nestled on a woodsy, quiet country road away from the hustle and bustle. Hop in your car and you are close to everything you need: skiing, hiking, biking, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. The house is extremely cozy, clean and welcoming! All the beds and mattresses were so comfy."

"Perfect little place. Awesome little cabin in the woods. Secluded enough for pitch darkness at night, but 15 minutes from a grocery store or gas station. We had three in our group but could easily do three couples comfortably. Nice big eating table. Awesome yard. Firepit. Could definitely see coming back here. We brought the motorcycles and explored what Vermont had, and it didn't disappoint. Great communication with host."

"We had a beautiful time just disconnecting and reconnecting with each other. Definitely looking forward to coming back."

"Cute chateau and great location. This was our first trip to Vermont and we couldn't have asked for a better host or place to stay. Jeanne was great about communicating to suggest things to see and making sure we had what we needed. Even a later check out time. We will definitely stay again when we're out this way."

Comfortable and cozy stay!

We stayed at the Bigfoot Chalet for a last-minute ski trip, and we had a wonderful stay. Home was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Convenient to Killington - about a 25-30 min - and a lovely place to unwind at the end of a long day of skiing. We would love to return!

Cozy stylish home in the perfect location

The house was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. The location is PERFECT. About 10 minutes from Okemo with the cute downtown area with shops and restaurants. If it was in ski season we would be in heaven! The layout was so good for family/friends with the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and the hosts had the home immaculate with a great eye for a cozy design and added features. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything a person would need- and a little welcome gift for the morning! The yard has enough room for the outside fire pit to socialize and the stars at night without the light pollution are beautiful. We loved the fact that we could bring our furry family member, it made the stay feel like our hosts knew that was important. With it being pet friendly there was not a single pet hair from any previous stays. Great outdoor deck area to sit with coffee in the am. The neighbors are close enough to feel safe, but far enough to feel like we had our privacy. Our hosts left very detailed instructions and they responded immediately to one of our questions when we contacted them. They truly made us feel like we were in a home away from home. We would love to come back again during the ski season or the fall with the foliage with the location and house setup perfect for two families. It was one of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed at. Highly recommend.

Couples weekend getaway

My boyfriend and I along with my cousin and her boyfriend had the best fall couples getaway. We went to some breweries and explored the town and came back home to Bigfoot Chalet our cozy little cottage each night. Grilled some steaks had and bon fire and played some board games. We did it all! Highly recommend the alpine coaster in killing on. Perfect place located very close to everything. We did bring our doggo he never ventures far from us especially in the dark. Only suggestion I’d give for anyone planning to bring their pup if your planning on hanging outside after dark bring a long leash or reflective collar it does get very dark with just the stars in the sky. Beautiful home with lovely hosts 12 out of 10 recommend!

Comfortable VT Lodge

My two cousins, two babies (~1 and 2 years old), two days, and me had a wonderful time at the property! It suited our needs very well and was incredibly comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the front yard, walking nearby, and exploring southern Vermont. There’s no cell service, but the wifi works really well. Jeanne was incredibly communicative when we needed her during the trip. Checkin was also super easy. We would definitely be back!

While the Bigfoot Chalet has been an active listing for over three years, my husband Matt and I are new owners. We’ve spent decades enjoying VT and all it has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We chose Plymouth for its close proximity to Okemo and Killington. We were drawn to Bigfoot for it's coziness, two acres of land and rental history.

What makes this property unique

Bigfoot is a cozy pet-friendly cabin with fireplace set on two acres of land. Lakes, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and skiing are short steps away. If you love the outdoors you will love this getaway in the woods.

Enjoy a coffee and a good book on the deck. Cook up a feast for your family and friends on a large rustic table and benches. Toast marshmallows in the fire pit.

Recent addition - blackout shades in all the bedrooms.
