Lovely Home. Needs attention to detail.

This is a lovely home, spacious, gorgeous wood floors and woodwork, large deck, plenty of area for relaxing. We were able to walk to the ferry which was really convenient. The group was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Dirty dishes in dishwasher, microwave dirty, bathroom sink was clean but it appeared that nothing else had been touched. The hamper that was supposed to be used for our dirty towels was full of dirty linens/towels. Slats hanging off one of the beds, remote for tv did not work, food left in fridge, not wiped down. There were only 5 clean towels for our use, no hand towels or washcloths. Overall not a very welcoming environment. I sent a message to the owner and he commented that it is professionally cleaned between visits and other groups did not have any issues but he would notify the cleaning company. I plan to visit the area again but will not be renting this home and have learned some important questions to ask the next time I rent through VRBO.

Close to Woods Hole and Bike path

This property is close to Woods Hole (walking distance) and Bike path. Located on a very busy road (main road between Falmouth and Woods Hole.) The property equipment are dated and not very clean. This place have suffered from years of not being cleaned enough. Otherwise plenty of room. Leaving room is quite confortable.

The Cape

This house was pretty much what we expected when we booked. It was a landing pad for exploring the Cape. Th location was right up the road from Woods Hole which was awesome. We loved hiking the Knob and going to Nobska Lighthouse. The property just is pretty dated and not very clean. It was definitely straightened when we arrived, but it seems to have suffered from years of not being cleaned very well. However, we weren’t spending a lot of time there so it was still a good value for our trip.

Cute and comfortable

Communication with the host was excellent- he was responsive, made sure we were all comfortable, and answered all our questions. The only confusion that we had was a discrepancy between check-in times on the listing and what the host told us (an hour later for check-in and an hour earlier for check-out). We stayed for a weekend and this was a great middle ground between the beach and the downtown area. Took us about 15 minutes to walk to the beach, and less than a 5 minute car ride into downtown. The house itself is very cute and has tons of charm inside. The oven/stove is on the older side but we had no issues cooking. Lots of space to spread out and a great living room/dining area for when we wanted everyone together. The house is older, so it was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but we had no complaints. It was a perfect spot to recharge before heading back out to the beach or downtown.

Great location and a lot of space for everyone!!

This home was in a fantastic location to enjoy all that Wood's Hole and Falmouth have to offer. We walked to the beach and downtown within 20 minutes and also drove to Main Street in Falmouth (3 miles) and a few other fantastic beaches in Falmouth. The home had 4 good sized bedrooms that fit our families needs. The bedrooms were cozy and clean and the bathroom was a good size. The kitchen was on the smaller side but the dining, living and outdoor deck made up for it, giving us the opportunity to spread out. The only downfall was that the yard was a overgrown but the owner said that a landscaper was set to come soon. Overall, a great value for the price.

Fantastic stay!

Loved the close proximity to the ferry and Falmouth! We had a wonderful dinner in Woods Hole, and lovely walk to the beaches. The house is very clean and home-y. The kitchen is vintage and the original woodwork is fantastic. Patrick was very responsive to our questions.

Great Cape Cod Retreat

Great location, lots of space, clean and overall a great cape cod retreat. I have stayed at this home multiple times and have enjoyed it each and every time. Both for warm and cold seasons, I highly recommend staying at the Cape Clasp home.

Lovely Home!

Patrick's house was pretty, clean, relaxing and perfect for us. I stayed for two nights with two friends. The house is spacious and cozy at the same time. Plenty of room for hanging together or to have privacy in. Loved the original wood floors and wood work. Everything was as I hoped for from the photos and better!

Lovely home but needs professional cleaners before guest arrival.

It was a beatiful home. We had a great weekend with family. I did have some issues however. I was told by the property owner that there would be clean towels in the master bedroom and there were none. ( there were 3 very raggedy looking towels in a linen closet). I called owner and left a message but never got a response. I specifically asked in advance about there being a crib in one of the bedrooms and was assured there was. On arrival we found a very old disassembled crib in one of the closets. The refrigerator was dirty and space mostly taken up with sodas and condiments, dishwasher was full (so I washed my own) and the bath/shower was full of men's toiletries. Over all not what you would expect from someone charging cleaning fees. These all seem to be ongoing complaints by previous guests which I missed because everyone seemed to start off with what a lovely house it was. I hate for this to be all negative as it was a great house. We enjoyed the charm and having morning coffee out in the deck. None of my complaints were enough to spoil our weekend.

Comfortable, well-maintained home

My friends enjoyed staying at this Woods Hole retreat. The kitchen overlooks a green spacious backyard and the house had comfortable furniture and beds. The house fit the VRBO description perfectly. I would recommend this to friends and book it myself when I need extra accommodations for out-of-town guests.

OK for a meeting stay

The house was as advertised. A bit tough as there are four bedrooms and a single bath. While we were able to make it work, it would have been tough for a group that spent a lot of time at the house. We were there for a meeting and spent little time in the house itself. It is very close to the road and pretty loud. The owner requests that visitors not enter the basement or pantry, which is totally understandable, but these areas are not locked or well marked. While it may sound silly that folks don't immediately recognize and obey the request, young adults or anyone that doesn't read the contract well may not have this in mind and may end up breaking the rules. Locking those doors would avoid a lot of uncomfortable situations. The house (and appliances) are older. We didn't cook at the house, but it is doable. Not fancy but functional.

Noisy and dirty house

This house was not clean, the kitchen and the dishes were really dirty, the bathroom too and the bath towels didn't smell good. What is more, there is only one bathroom for 8 people and the toilets are in!! The house is just near an important avenue, there is a lot of traffic and it s difficult to sleep after 5/6 pm. I m sorry but I don t recommend this rental.

Great Thanksgiving weekend stay!

Very comfortable home with all that you need to make a big meal. The house is older with wonderful woodworking and charm. Steps away from the Woods Hole area and beaches. Patrick was prompt with any questions and access to the home is easy. The only negative is the road noise just after the ferry pulls into port. Not an issue when the front windows are closed. Thank you!

A very nice stay

Home was as described, a nice 'home away from home' while enjoying Cape Cod. Easy walk to Woods Hole which is convenient because there is limited or expensive parking in the village so its nice being able to leave the car at the house. Home was clean and up to standards. Patrick the owner quickly answered any questions we had. Only quibble would be that only one bedroom has window air conditioner and a ceiling fan. We were there on a very hot weekend and the other 3 bedrooms upstairs were very warm for sleeping. Overall though would very much recommend this property.

Great Cape Retreat!

We rented this house for an extended Memorial Day mini-vacation. We are 'old house people,' and really appreciated the beautiful woodwork and classic charm of this house. We also loved that it was so close to downtown Falmouth and the village of Woods Hole. We ate breakfast each morning at the 'Pie in the Sky' bakery cafe in Woods Hole - which was awesome. Its an easy walk down to the Woods Hole ferry, and we did a day trip to Martha's Vineyard, which was wonderful. As far as accommodations go, there really isn't anything else we could have asked for. The large living room is an excellent gathering spot, the kitchen has a beautiful wooded view from up high, the bathroom is updated and well appointed, the bedrooms are perfect, and the hosts provided everything we needed. There are also plenty of great places to ride a bike in this part of the cape. We will definitely recommend this house to friends/family.

Lovely Woods Hole Cottage

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this spacious cottage. We biked the shining sea bike path and took many a walk on the beaches and in near by gardens and preserves. We were warmly welcomed with a basket with a bottle of wine. The house was immaculate and Patrick was responsive to any questions. The house is in a great location near beach, shops, ferry and bike path. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay for your Cape Cod trip

Patrick is a great host, with a big house. We were 7 and there was a lot of space for all of us! The living area was great where you could spend hours, having a good time! The connectivity to everything was great. Our main focus was Martha's Vineyard and the ferry was a stone's throw away from the place. There was no problem to locate this place and really liked the key-lock system, where there's no hassle of carrying a key. P.S: The deck is awesome for star gazing on a clear night!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION *beautiful home too :)

I've been coming to Cape Cod every Fall for years and this was my favorite lodging experience by far! Will never stay anywhere else. Close proximity to downtown Woods Hole and all the nearby trails, ocean views, shops, and restaurants that you could ever need. The house itself was immaculate and really, really pretty. Rooms were perfect.

Excellent Experience!

Charming home, very clean, nicely laid out floor plan. It was super easy to find and conveniently located close to the ferry with shops/restaurants nearby; but then again who would want to leave the living room fireplace! The back deck is right off the living room too so that was nice to be out on during the day. The owner even had a welcome basket waiting upon arrival. Can’t say enough good things about the owner’s hospitality. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

This place is AMAZING!!

This place was AMAZING!! The house is very cozy with beautiful fir wood floors throughout and the large fireplace in the living room was very relaxing. The location is perfect!! Close to downtown, a quick walk to Nobska Beach, and cute bike/hiking trails right behind the house. Patrick was very responsive and helpful throughout our whole stay. We even showed up to the house with a bottle of wine waiting for us with a cute note from the owners! BEST experience I’ve had renting a place on Cape Cod!!
