As always, this property never disappoints. Enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving getaway. It was awesome to unconnect from internet and cellular to enjoy time with my family and the beauty of the Greenbrier River and Trail.

Relaxing time away.

This is a beautiful place, down through a cow pasture beside the Greenbriar River Trail. We wished we would have come a little sooner as the leaves were already past their peak. Everything was perfect- exactly what we hoped for.

Quiet and relaxing getaway

We loved the remote feeling, and seeing more animals than people. Enjoyed hiking, floating on the river and just reading books on the deck.

Slice of Heaven

We felt like we were home...the cabin is very clean, fully equipped & cozy. It's location, while within 1/2 hour drive of three amazing state parks, is quiet & secluded. Walk out your back door & there's the Greenbrier River and GRT...truly the perfect location. Thank you, Heather for providing such a great place to stay.

Perfect weekend getaway

We were looking for a place to relax and recharge, and this cabin did not disappoint. The location was beautiful and secluded, and the cabin itself offered all of the comforts of home. Our family enjoyed dinners together, a campfire and lots of relaxing on the porch overlooking the creek. We explored the area around the cabin and spent a day at New River Gorge taking in the beauty of West Virginia. We can't wait to visit again!!

Great place on the River and trail!

I’ve wrote a review in the past with more details, but I will say we come here every year and love the location and the place. It works well for myself, husband, and 2 kids. We also bring our dogs ;) it’s always a nice time on the river and we bring bikes for the trail!

Golden Mill Cabin

Very nice location. Although there is a rail to trails path in front, it was very lightly used during our stay. We found the location to be well situated to visit the New River Gorge(60-80 minutes), Greenbriar(30 minutes), Beartown state park(20 minutes) and Cass Scenic Railroad(80 minutes). A short drive (15 miles) to Lewisburg provides some eateries and groceries.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin very much. It was in a perfect location - secluded, by the river, yet close enough to go other destinations. During our stay, we enjoyed swimming in the river, fishing, walking, and visited Cass, Marlington, and Lewisburg. Responses from the owner was very timely and the cabin was clean as well. Thank you!

Quiet Getaway

This property is perfect for an unplugged, quiet getaway! The cabin has beautiful views in its own backyard and a nice, flat trail situated right behind it. What’s most enjoyable is that you can spend the day either in Lewisburg or at one of the nearby State Parks, then nighttime next to a fire in the fire pit - which is exactly what my fiancé and I did! It was a perfect weekend for us.

Perfect location!

Many reviews prior to mine talk about how awesome the cabin is, and it truly is wonderful, but I want to talk about its location. Right out the back door is the Greenbrier River Trail and a path that leads to the river. This was important because I wanted a place for my 5/7yo kids to play in the river. It was shallow and had an easy current. Just down the (main) road is White Oak Farm to pick blueberries in July. We also went to several other state park destinations. We hope to be back in the future!

Quiet Solitude

This property is exactly as represented on the site . A very quiet , secluded setting. Although it sits adjacent to a rail trail, we saw only about a dozen bicyclists during our nine day stay in mid-September. We highly recommend this property.

Love it!!

We just love this cabin and the location! It is beautiful and so peaceful. Read my older review for more details, but we love to come here in the fall when it’s not extremely hot outside since there is only a freestanding AC unit. The cabin has everything we need, just make sure to read the list of items to bring including toilet paper, etc. It is so clean, comfy, and homey. It is an “unplugged” environment, but there is a TV, dvd player with tons of DVDs, and usually a gaming system. We have came here several times and always love it! Also, the water system seems to be upgraded because the water no longer smells like sulfur from the well :) We are so thankful we can rent this cabin!

Perfect for the state fair!

We came in during a storm which made our arrival interesting. We did not need 4-wheel drive but a vehicle which is lifted or sits higher would be helpful! Lost power and water the first nigh due to hurricane Abby! No worries, we regained power and communicated with the owner who walked me through resetting the well pump, before breakfast! Not a large property but big enough to have fun! Perfect for a family get away! Great deck to wave to the bikers! Location was perfect distance to get away from fair chaos but close enough to get us there in a timely manner! Owner provides great games and activity ideas. Would love to revisit this property!
