About the host
Hosted by Hugh Little

We are a 7th generation family living on Scotchtown Road and only a mile from Scotchtown, the home of Patrick Henry and restored by my grandmother Norine Dickson Campbell.
Why they chose this property
The Highroads is surrounded by and within walking distance of the falls at Newfound River, CRE Arabian Horse Farm, and Campbell Lake (built by my Grandfather, Leslie Dunlop Campbell). The Fork Episcopal Church is two miles away where I was baptized. After the 10AM Sunday services there is a Coffee Hour with Treats! Fork Church is the intersection of the National Bicycle Routes of 1 and 76. Bike Route 76 go right by The Highroads.
What makes this property unique
You will be staying at a 7th generational Colonial home with classic Flemish Bond brickwork, rubbed-brick bands between floors, rubbed corners around all exterior doors and windows, keystones above all exterior doors and window, 12' ceilings and 10' ceilings upstairs. The front door is 8 1/2 feet tall and 3 inches thick with a French glass overhang and a large Scottish Stag as a door knocker. The Highroads is the ultimate Southern Colonial getaway!
