Our rental experience was very good! We had quick responses, and the property was ready ahead of schedule with clear instructions and very easy to find. We will definitely be back!
We were overall pleased with this property. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. We were within walking distance to the beach. The deck was perfect for fishing. We often saw dolphins while out on the deck as well. There was gear for the beach but a lot of the beach chairs were in poor condition and the wagon is on its last leg. We made it work so really wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely stay here again.
This is an older property, but appears to have been recently updated. General living space good. Linens and towels were fresh. The only disappointment was the back porch and pool area. The deck furniture, we hope, is on the owners list for replacement. A larger outdoor table sitting six and refreshed lounge chairs by the pool would be perfect. Great location. Very responsive team at Clausen Properties.
The property was great along with the location We lost our internet for a few days and the owner came to rectify the situation Also the pool furniture was a bit outdated and the pool light didn’t work. Finally, the dock was worn down and a few of the wood boards were very soft to the point it was dangerous these complaints were minor because the overall experience was great Kelly, the realtor was as attentive as you could be
Great location. House is very nice. Pool was awesome. I would recommended this house.
Things to improve on ; Not enough toilet paper or trash bags. They need to supply more than one roll per bathroom and more than three trash bags. Beach wagon is wore out. Beach chairs were good. The facuet in bath tub did not work but wand did.

This property is in need of some serious renovation the general decor is barely ok, there was a lack of decent utensils in the kitchen, we had to complain to the property managers to get knives, chopping boards and a vacuum cleaner, the exterior decking is very unsafe with rotted boards the pool area needs updating badly.
Marco Island is a fantastic place for a vacation however the property and the property managers Clausen properties spoiled our experience, don’t stay at this place or at any properties managed by Clausen
We enjoyed our stay. The house was a great size and had plenty of towels. The pool was great for most of our stay, but the last week of our 3-week trip the heater did not work. The office staff called the get it fixed but it took a few days, and it never got really warm enough to enjoy.
The only negative is in the kitchen. I did not love the electric stove. The pots and pans need to be upgraded. They are old and scratched. There is so much unnecessary stuff on the kitchen cabinets that there is no place to put food.
I will start with the pros.
1. Excellent, walkable location to Tigertail beach.
2. Beach chairs, cooler and beach towels provided plus some floaties for the pool.
3. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, cookware and spices etc.
4. Fishing dock with chairs and grill on patio.
Cons
1.Rental agency, though very quick to respond to any questions, deferred any issues with rental stating they would "let the owner know". This was fairly frustrating when we were left to repair any issues that came up. There was never an offer from the rental company to send someone over for maintenance nor did we ever hear from the owner regarding repairs.
Repairs needed, which I informed rental company of include:
1. Headboard to queen bed in spare room was NOT ATTACHED to the bed frame resulting in it FALLING onto my daughter in laws head when she reached behind the headboard to plug in her phone charger. No resolution from company or owner so we moved headboard to garage for safety.
2. Shower drain in master shower was slow to drain, enough that you were standing in water. By the end of our week stay we had to remove the drain cover and clean the built up hair and sludge in order for the standing water to drain.
3.Five out of six dining room chairs had such wobbly legs, we had to tighten the screws.
4. Pool filter timer was off so we had to skim hundreds of black bugs out and turn the filter ON.
5. Loose board sticking up on deck.
IF issues are resolved, I would rerecommend.
Property was nice, but amenities listed line beach chairs and rafts and blow dryers were broken and we had to ask for new ones which were provided (took two attempts to get a functioning blow dryer ) but between guests that should be checked and replaced/repaired. For a 1 week stay they leave 1 garbage bag and 1 roll of toilet paper and 3 dishwasher pods. The explanation was that they get stollen. However when setting up for the next guest length of stay should be factored in. To have to buy a box of garbage bags, pack of toilet paper and package of detergent for 1 week means buying more than needed. These are poor management choices that led to a less than ideal experience for our stay. I am writing this review as a successful vrbo host that does manage supplies provided based on length of stay, balancing risk of stolen toilet paper against experience for guests that don’t steal. Also the rating/review system allows for recognizing guests who are not respectful for future hosts to take into account. I did share this feedback with the management company directly with no willingness to reconsider which is why I’m posting it in my review. My family will not be returning to this beautiful home as long as the owners use this management company or the decisions they make change.
We had a wonderful time at this rental. We loved the pool and spent most of our time there. The beach walk is short to the parking, but to get to the actual beach it was a bit of a undertaking with two littles under 3 years old. Otherwise, we had a great time. Would recommend to anyone who wasn’t banking on easy access to the beach.
It’s a beautiful location. We really enjoyed the pool. With the property being next to water we were able to use our paddle boats and we rented a boat one day and it made things easier to get our coolers. The appliances need to be updated. The mixer doesn’t work. But overall, it was a good experience.
The house is beautiful, clean, overall comfortable and had everything we needed. We would stay in it again. The location is good, very close to Tigertail beach, however for those who are not familiar with it: you will need to walk a while on the wide part of the beach unless you are prepared to cross some water (short cut) which we think was quite fun.
Regarding the communication: When I called the property manager for a few questions, I felt the manager was rushing to end the call and I think could be more polite (or simply tell the caller to call back if she was busy). But that was a minor thing, overall had very relaxing time in Marco Island and enjoyed the stay in this property.

Property is aging
Many items were in disrepair and just wasn't worth the price being asked. The pool was unusable and was a big disappointment. Many boards on deck were rotted and one person in our party fell through.

Just okay
This property could use some upgrades. It's okay if you're looking for just the basics but it could be much better if they paid more attention to it. You could do better than this property.

Best location in Marco Island
This house is right next to tiger tail beach. Perfect house for beach and pool activities. Great place for a family with a couple of kids. Fishing off the back of the house was awesome for catfish.
