This three bedroom condo has a king bed in the master/ full bath, second bedroom a king bed with an attached bathroom, and the third bedroom has two twin beds.

The Carolina Dunes is located in the prestigious Golden Mile section of Myrtle Beach, known for being centrally located to all the Myrtle Beach attractions, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and within walking distance of two restaurants, a bar and Starbucks! The Carolina Dunes also offers a Large outdoor pool and sunning deck with tables, umbrellas and chairs kiddie pool, courtyard, private walkway to the beach, outdoor showers, lobby, luggage carts, free wifi and onsite parking.

Great location and views

We really enjoyed our stay here, the location was very quiet, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The balcony was, by far, our favorite place to hang out. We loved that eating our dinner out there. I would return to this place anytime!

Great Condo with fabulous balcony

This condo was well appointed and a great place to stay for a family Christmas get away. The balcony is huge and the electric fireplace was a nice feature. We really enjoyed it a lot. Worth noting too, is that it was 200.00 cheaper renting thru VRBO than it was on the competitions website.

Amazing rental property

Had an amazing time with my family in this unit. Everyone was pleased with all the amenities. (would love to have had a sweeper or broom available to get sand cleaned up). Would love to have this unit again, but may need to choose another week. Did not know the code for the restroom by the pool would have been very helpful for the kids. ***** + (5 stars +).

Sunset and sunrise brings an inner peace that is opposite from the weekly rushed schedule. Kick back and listen to the waves below and just relax. Time to slow down and enjoy the sounds of the Atlantic.

All of the amenities where great, The master shower has a steam function, the balcony was fantastic. Locations is perfect for what we needed. Only thing that I would suggest is having a instruction guide on some of the items in there. The TV reset multiple times and was very difficult to operate. Otherwise it was clean and great. Would stay here again.

week long stay at the Penthouse

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I found the Carolina Dunes property to be clean and well kept. I was disappointed that the property did not have a hot tub in the pool area. I felt safe with security on duty throughout the night, I did however notify security and the local police of a local man that would remain parked in his car for hours in the parking lot. The Penthouse unit was as described online and was nicely decorated, however, the carpet should be replaced or cleaned and the unit needs some paint and touched up. I am a home inspector so I noticed some details that others may miss. I appreciated a fully stocked kitchen with an abundance of dishes, pots/pans, utensils. I also loved to oversized balcony with lounge chairs and table seating for six outside. I will return when back in the area. Thanks for a great stay.

The only negative was that there were no beach chairs in the unit for us to to use at the beach. The only option was to buy them (which we did) or rent a cabana/chairs on the beach for $45.00 per day.

This was definitely not a luxury penthouse!

I would really like businesses to get out of the habit of calling their rentals "luxury" when they are not. The pictures made this place look fabulous.. I will say that It's in the perfect location, the balcony is huge, the view is amazing. HOWEVER....... This property really needs some TLC. The carpet is older than me, the leather on the couch is pealing really bad- It’s not even leather anymore... I didn't even want to sit on it- When it's old, dingy, and ragety, it reminds me of how many people have sat their (or even had sex there). The couch pillows are the old heavy kind from the 80's, the comforters had not been cleaned- they smelled and so did the penthouse. I washed one comforter, and it took three hours to dry, so I didn't bother trying to wash the other ones. Its not my job to come on vacation and clean. I did ask by Wednesday if I could move to a nicer place and they said "no, because I'd already been there two days" I was trying to give the place a chance- (we arrived Monday night, and just wanted to relax and have some drinks and sit on the balcony after the long drive). The penthouse didn't come with private internet- I kept having to switch from Dunes to Mandalin-(the hotel next door) which was aggravating because Netflix wouldn't work correctly. And my computer kept acting up while I was working. The master bathroom has black mold in the grout- that could easily be cleaned with bleach and a scrub brush- it was just a dingy not-so-clean place. There was absolutely no way this place was sanitized. I asked before I came if everything would be cleaned thoroughly, and they assured me it would- but it wasn't. Which is surprising because we are in the middle of a pandemic! They don't do maintenance checks or cleaning checks- the heat wasn't working correctly and by Wednesday I called and told them that the heat wouldn't go past 65. By Wednesday night, they had it fixed which was good but could have been avoided if they had made sure everything was working before I got there. The dishes were dirty. It would be better to give people the opportunity to pay for a cleaning crew instead of cleaning on the day of checkout since they make people leave so early. No one wants to do that on there last day. I would have gladly paid- and this would prevent dirty dishes- I strongly suggest renovations; could be such a beautiful place if they upgraded it.

Excellent location! Great walking score

The location was perfect for us. Well situated between N Myrtle and Murrells Inlet. Good restaurant choices nearby, beaches clean and neat. Apartment was large, spacious and well laid out. The balcony was as large as pictured and offered great sightlines for the surrounding beach area. Very comfortable. The only con was that the furniture was very dated. Was uncomfortable sitting on a sofa with so much wear. Also mattresses very soft.
