Fresh, nicely finished, three-bedroom cabin on the Baileys Trails!
Nestled in the heart of Baileys Trails, our three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is a cyclist's dream, located mere steps from numerous trailheads. It promises an unforgettable escape with its cozy ambiance and a fire pit for evening gatherings. Whether you're seeking thrilling bike trails or a peaceful retreat, our cabin offers the perfect base for adventure and relaxation. Perfect for those eager to explore or unwind.
The house sits on six acres. The yard is shared with camping spots for tents and small RVs and a communal fire pit about 75 feet from the house.
Guest access is limited to the house space, and the unfinished basement is locked and off-limits. You can use the glass patio room for bike storage, etc. If you are staying long-term, we do have laundry machines in the basement and may be able to give you access upon request.
The house has little mobile access, but we share a Star-Link with Bentons on the Baileys. This access is ok for streaming music and phone calls, but please do not stream video. Our co-hosts are almost always available right next door and offer firewood for $7/bundle and farm-fresh eggs for $4/dozen.
There is a rudimentary patio room for storing bikes out of the rain. And if you are interested in the Baileys trails, multiple trailheads are within a quarter-mile.
Athens & Ohio University are 18 minutes away.

Cabin was just like pictures but has a strong mold/mildew smell which got to all of us. The kitchen was big enough for Thanksgiving which is what we wanted (getting water on at the faucet was tricky at times) the internet connection was not good even though we were warned. A diffident get away from the norm
The hosts communicated very well about the property and were very understanding and accommodating of our group prior to check in. On the day of our trip, we had a family medical emergency and were not able to complete the trip. I messaged the hosts and they were so understanding. They helped me promptly and made things right all the way around. I highly recommend them and appreciate their kindness.
A group of girlfriends and I got the cabin instead of hotel rooms for Mom's Weekend at OU where my son is a sophomore. Cabin was adorable - must have been recently renovated - modern appliances and decor. Cabin itself was very lovely and had pretty much everything we needed. Stocked with standard supplies/staples like TP, paper towels, linens, most necessary kitchen ware...prior guests left behind coffee supplies and spices, that was helpful. Comfy beds - sleeps 9 is a stretch, but if you lay out a futon - I guess but we only had 5 people anyway. All chairs in living room, no sofa or TV. One suggestion: Get a Keurig for coffee as most people use those now - so easy. It was rainy all weekend so we didn't use the fire pit but it's there! All of OH seemed to be flooded. Bring extra towels just to have for hands, etc. for bathroom and it could use some extra blankets in the closet just in case. GPS kept taking us to flooded/closed roads to get there, went around in circles one time. Learned to go way of New Floodwood Rd. - but there is no sign right off of 33 for it. Make right where it says Elm Wood Road (something like that), right after (or before) theater/Fun Bard, and go STRAIGHT. Don't take immediate left on Elmwood Rd. Go straight...it looks like you are driving into someone's property with a lot of cars...just go straight, it's a road, trust me. A few turns, but it takes you right there. LOVED THE CUTE LITTLE HOUSE! Perfect for our Girls Weekend!
We stayed at Jason’s property, 7 adult women, to celebrate our mom’s 75th birthday. The house was picked up and beds and towels were clean. Floors and showers could be cleaner.
Found out the day before our stay that there isn’t Andy cell service there, but was able to log into WiFi.
There has been a drought in the area and that is really the only issue we had is we ran out of water the night before checkout. Which as you can guess isn’t awesome with 7 women, but Jason and Keith were able to get us some water within a couple of hours. And responded to our issue quickly. The only other thing is we ran out of toilet paper and were not able to find any extra.
