Located in the heart of Newport, this resort offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities.

Step back in time with tours of the nearby Gilded Age mansions, once home to the Astors, Vanderbilts, and other elite families. For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Narragansett Bay offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and sailing. Enjoy a leisurely game of croquet on the lawn, have a barbecue at the resort's pavilion, or take a short walk to Newport Fisherman’s Wharf.

At the resort, there’s something for everyone. Unwind in the lush indoor pool with a soothing hot tub, or soak up the sun by the outdoor pool. In the second bedroom -bed layout can vary. Two doubles or two twins are possible. The living room will have a sleeper sofa.

Overall the property was beautiful the apartment was clean and well-maintained but noisy. Not very soundproof tenant above was loud. You could hear conversation in hallways. Good location to downtown

Such a fun spot- walking distance to the marina, water, restaurants and shops! The pool is awesome and is indoor/outdoor pool with hot tubs! The indoor pool is on the smaller side but it leads outside and we were able to swim comfortably even in March. The rooms were spacious qnd each had their own bathroom. I would request the 3rd floor so that you get the New England style peak in the family room area. So cozy and adds so much character. The movie theater and game rooms were great for kids and we enjoyed the schedule of events with free mimosas, muffins etc. I would definitely return!

Very helpful staff. We were in a spacious 2 bed 2 bath unit that was very nice. We especially loved the 2 hot tubs and the gym. Located right next to the transportation center with the local trolley and all the other buses. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Beware property reservation is not guaranteed
Host called on arrival day to say they were oversold and I would be moved to another property of their choosing. Know when you book and pay for this property you may not be staying there. Host is not trustworthy to deliver your booked room so only reserve if you are willing to accept whichever proprety they ultimately decide they want to offer when you arrive. This didn't work for me and my family so cannot book again in future.

Pros - Excellent communication with the host - Proximity to everything in Newport is unmatched - The front desk crew was wonderful and courteous. Other than the check in, we didn’t interface with anyone else at the property Cons - The property itself is quite dated/weathered. Lots of water stains on the ceilings, showers were not working 100% - Nitpicky detail, but we love to cook…and all the kitchen gear was dull and almost unusable. Bring your own kitchen stuff if you are planning to eat in. Overall, you are not paying for the property…you are paying for the location and proximity to downtown Newport. To that end, it’s worth every penny.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Long Warf. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms gave us plenty of space. The suites are nicely furnished and updated. The location is fantastic. We were able to walk comfortably to and from the resort. Our only disappointment was not being able to use the indoor pool as the renovation has not been completed yet.

I loved this property's amenities and the location was fantastic, however, it was unfortunate that there was construction just outside my room and the indoor pool was closed due to construction. We were booked at the Wyndham Long Wharf but or reservation was moved to the Wyndham On Shore when we arrived. There was no heads up in advance which is a little frustrating as we were traveling with our two year old. The On Shore location was great and we had a nice room with two balconies and a great view of the harbor and adjacent marina. The property was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place and would stay there again. I think the On Shore location probably a better location than Long Wharf. We had a great stay.

We love Newport and this property has it all. Location, pools, activities for the kids, free parking and spacious rooms. The hotel was doing renovations when we were there and they had some major problems that could have ruined our vacation. The Wyndham and KOALA took care of everything and saved our trip and made what could have been a bad experience into a positive one. We will definitely go back!
