Spacious 58 m2., two bedroom apartment with superb views over the Med from the balcony, living/dining room and new (2020) American kitchen. Perfect for a romantic getaway, family holiday or a base to explore the Cote d'Azur. It is beside the Radisson Hotel. The view, day and night, is spectacular. Tramway Line 2 runs right behind the apartment- Ste Helene stop. You can hop on at the airport and 15/20 minutes later arrive at the apartment door! The tram runs all the way to the Port with stops in Nice Centre and the Old Town. You may as well be in the town centre, it is so accessible! The beach is across the Promenade and the Radisson private beach with chairs for hire is a short stroll. The apartment has air conditioning throughout (2020) and is 'traversant'' i.e. it has windows front and back so you can keep cool with the Mediterranean breeze. The main bedroom has a double bed and ample wardrobe space. The second has two single beds that can be made into a double.
There is an American kitchen with an oven and dishwasher, dining space for six, a sofa bed/couch and balcony furniture. There is cable TV, fast WiFi, stereo and DVD player. The apartment is strolling distance to the town - the centre is about 15 minutes by tram. There are shops, some great restaurants and cafes nearby. There are car parks nearby as well as on the street.
If you need to work, there is a computer monitor and for those with a baby, there is a travel cot.
Anyone for Golf or Skiing?: Other activities - Skiing or golf? Nice is a perfect base for winter sports and particularly skiing. The resorts of Auron, Isola 2000 and Valberg/Beuil are about an hours drive from the centre of Nice. But why drive when you can take a bus from the Nice to the ski slopes (you can ski during the day and lie on the beach in the afternoon. If golf is your passion, there are many fine golf courses around Nice. There are even two courses dating back to the 19th century - Cannes Mandelieu (1891) and Valescure (1895).
Getting to the apartment: If arriving by plane, take Tram Line 2 as far as the Ste Helene stop. The apartment is immediately opposite the tram stop. Tickets are expensive when purchased at the machines at the airport stop (€10 for a return ticket). Best to take the tram to the next stop after T1, Grand Arenas (free), alight and purchase one reusable ticket per person (€2 each). This can be topped up at the machines or on the Lignes d'Azur app.
Grand Arenas is also the location of the train station, Nice Saint Augustin and the central bus station for long distance buses. The train station is handiest for getting to most locations along the Riviera and is simpler than going to Nice Ville, the main station.
If arriving by train to Nice Ville, take tram Line 1 (direction Hopital Pasteur) as far as Jean Medecin stop and then take tram Line 2 in the direction of the Airport or Cadam as far as the Ste. Helene stop. The apartment building, Copacabana, is opposite the stop.
Arriving by car? There are car parks in the Radisson and also at Les Bosquets, Carras about 750m away,
The apartment has high speed fibre broadband and a monitor for use by guests.
Thinking of shopping? There is a small Carrefour Market about 500 m towards town and a large Carrefour about 1km towards the airport - 2 tram stops, There is also a convenience store about 200m on the city side.
There are two major shopping centres - Nice Etoile in the centre (tram stop Jean Medecin) and Cap 3000 beside the airport (Bus line 12 from beside the Radisson).
Cannes, Antibes, Grasse and Monaco are best accessed by train (Nice Saint Augustin) while such as Paul de Vence is reached by bus from Parc Phoenix (between the apartment and the airport).
Taxis are expensive, while Uber is more reasonable and readily available.
