Spacious living room with wall-to-wall windows overlooking Trinidad Bay and south to Eureka and Cape Mendocino. The house is equipped with WiFi and a 45' flat screen LCD tv. There is a wraparound deck facing the ocean, the perfect place for a barbecue! The house is located at the end of a road at a quiet location. You can watch the whales from the comfort of the couch when they come by Trinidad.

Unbelievable panorama

The boathouse never disappoints. This is my third stay here each visit has been outstanding. The views from the boathouse are 270 of beauty and nature. The boathouse itself is very comfortable and clean. There are plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the beds are comfortable. There’s some wonderful hiking within minutes of the boathouse. We enjoyed eating at Moonstone Café, Larrupin, Seascape, and I would recommend them all.

**Vacation Rental Review: A Perfect Oceanfront Getaway** Our stay at this vacation rental was nothing short of amazing! Situated right by the ocean, the house offers breathtaking views that you can enjoy from almost every corner. Waking up to the sound of the waves and stunning coastal scenery was truly magical. The house itself is immaculate and spacious, with plenty of room for our family of four. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, making it easy to cook and enjoy family time together. The owner was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and quick to address any questions we had, which made the entire experience stress-free. One of the best features of this rental is its location. It’s a short drive to Redwood National and State Parks, where we spent hours exploring the majestic trees and trails. The nearby city of Trinidad is charming and welcoming, with a small grocery store that’s well-stocked and conveniently within walking distance. its all about the view!

Great place to stay! Living room ocean view is breath taking. Clean and Comfortable beds too. Bathrooms are dated and poorly designed but function. Could use a rack to put your soap and shampoo at eye level and places to put a wet towel/wash cloth. My only complaint is the fireplace. It was full of ash and made the whole house smell like an old campfire. Not at all pleasant. We had to close the door to the living room to keep that smell from the bedrooms. But I would definitely stay here again!

3 Days in Trinidad

We really enjoyed our stay at the Boat House. The house is very well comfortable with ample parking. The view, almost 180 degrees, is outstanding and a great way to watch the weather, waves and the harbor. The kitchen was very well equipped. Very quiet neighborhood. We took advantage of the local trails on a daily basis and made the short trip to Arcata to visit the bookstores. Just a great place to relax, read a good book, tackle a puzzle and enjoy the views.

We’ve been staying in the Boathouse for years, and the Crow’s Nest next door. Casey manages both and is always extremely helpful. His units are always well equipped and spotless. The view of the bay from the Boathouse is gorgeous and the unit has a huge deck, the perfect setting for coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. I always feel at home and always look forward to our next visit.❤️

Sits above a cliff that drops into the bay. Views are spectacular, house is well equipped, cozy & welcoming. Beautiful little village to walk to & enjoy fresh, organic cooking. Short walk to bay or Pacific beach & trail! It's a wonderful spot. Quiet. Well cared for.

Our Home Away From Home

This was our third 'Girls Trip' to this amazing site! Walking in was like walking in to our home away from home. Extremely clean, fully stocked kitchen, love the shower head in the master bedroom/bath! Perfect balcony views and weather was PERFECT! Always hard to pack and come home.

Wonderful view of Trinidad Bay, the Head etc. Large living room, big deck. Comfy seating in living room. This is an older house, smells of mold/musty. I didn't get used to it tho it didn't bother my husband. Even the front door is moldy, not very welcoming. Plus the shredding wallpaper at the front entrance. Also the blankets need washing. Sheets were clean but everything else needs washing. I left a note for the cleaners not that they can do anything about the mold.

Magical home in Trinidad

I have stayed at the Boathouse for years when visiting Trinidad to catch up with family living in the area. It’s the best location in town and by far the best value. The views are amazing, of course, but the comfort and cleanliness are equally a 5-star experience. Central heat, lovely beds, great walk-in shower, filtered water, well stocked kitchen. Casey and his local family are always available and so friendly, and Trinidad itself is a true haven of serenity. Leave the car in the driveway and walk everywhere, to the beach, the stores, the terrific local restaurants, or hike Trinidad head just 2 short blocks from the house ( amazing views above the ocean and bay). The friendly Seascape restaurant is at that trailhead and pier, and their breakfasts are homemade fantastic.
