Ron grew up in upstate New York before joining the Air Force and met Asun while stationed in Madrid- where she grew up. They got married in Spain and were sent back to the states shortly after. They bounced around a bit before being stationed at Hurlburt Air Force base and retiring in the Panhandle. Ron still works civil service and Asun teaches ELL at a local elementary school.
