If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting look no further than Cedar Point!
My husband and I, with our Maltese dog, had a wonderful week's stay. We enjoyed the pool, crabbing on the dock, and using the kayaks provided.
The home is clean and quite comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked. Great having all linens and towels (including beach towels) provided for us.
We would love to return!
If this home was for sale, I would buy it. Small but sufficient for a family or 3 couples. We were looking for seclusion, crabbing, beach for our two German Shorthaired Pointers, pool and a safe place with room for our dogs to run off leash. The entire perimeter is tree lined for privacy, the small beach was perfect to walk in and out of the water. Made it easy to use the kayaks and paddle boards. Nice sandy bottom, not mud. Crab pots were on the dock ready for bait upon arrival. Pool was clean, grass was cut, propane was available as well as firewood for fire pit. Deck is gated which helped contain the dogs when necessary.
Only drawbacks to this home (IMO) were the excessive amount of cameras... driveway, front door, side door, back yard, pool area and deck. Felt like we were being watched constantly. I understand the necessary security, but was too much. The lack of curtains or blinds in the common areas was unsettling at night. I like to close up the house at night especially when in a rental. We rent through VRBO quite a bit and we prefer homes that are strictly rentals. They dont feel like you’re in someones personal home. This home is not that. Pots are thrown in the cabinets, glasses were old, someones dog bed under the bed in Master, a lot of personal items.
All in all, a great property. We spent all day outside in the water, pool and crabbing on the dock. Didn't see another person for 3 days except the the boaters that went by. Had a nice 3 day weekend.
The house was beautiful, spacious clean and very comfortable. The pool was amazing, especially when it was 95 degrees. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the hot tub because it was way too hot outside. Love the view, love the dock, great place and would highly recommend to anyone!
This cottage has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing peaceful retreat. My family and I all adult kids throughly enjoyed ourselves from relaxing in the pool and hot tub to crabbing and fishing off the dock oh and kayaking in the creek. Great time loved it!!!!
We spent a week relaxing at the property, enjoying the view of the water, the pool and hot tub, and the fire pit. Loved having use of crab traps, paddle boards, and kayaks, and having our 2 dogs with us. It’s a quick drive to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge—lovely visitor’s center & we saw an Eagle and osprey while driving the scenic loop. Emily’s down the road has awesome local ice cream (Scottish Highlander) and produce, Black Water Breakfast & Bakery for delicious breakfast, and Bay Country Bakery for excellent doughnuts.
Thank you for sharing your house. The property was very spacious indoors and outdoors and private. The family enjoyed the firepit and hot tub the atmosphere did the job to get away from everyday life and enjoy each other. Thank you again.
I absolutely loved the property!!!
Had everything a family would need!
Beautiful home and views were amazing,
Brian, Tina and Frank were awesome to deal with!!! I highly recommend anyone to stay here. My family and I will definitely be returning!
Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
This is such a beautiful and relaxing home. From the time we arrived we felt right at home. The sunsets are breath taken. From crabbing to fishing on the dock and the use of the kayaks. We will go back again.
We booked this property for a week long family vacation. Pre-arrival communication was top-notch and continued throughout our stay. Cedar Point is well appointed and has everything you could need for staying “in” all week but is still close enough to Cambridge and other activities to head into “town” if you’d prefer. We enjoyed our stay and would book again!
The property is in a nice location. We enjoyed the pool and the quiet of the neighborhood. The owner has everything you need to cook with, and the home is spacious. This is not high end accommodations, dated furnishings and , needs deep cleaning. However, the amenities are all there. Is a great location for cycling.
Beautiful property, very secluded and private. Wonderful access to Church Creek.
We had a wonderful time staying here, despite a few mishaps. We had an issue with the dishwasher and with the pool, but overall had a great time and would certainly consider returning, especially since they allow dogs at the property.
Would be nice to know in the listing that when the pool gets serviced on Fridays, it's essentially unusable for 24 hours or so, as they have to put excessive amounts of chlorine in it to compensate for a metal chemical they use to treat a metal from the well water. The pool is safe to use, but there's so much chlorine that it can irritate your eyes and make your skin feel slimy.
Overall, we had a great time and I'd certainly recommend the place to friends.
Amazing property with gorgeous views. The house is very clean and has all the amenities needed. Dog friendly with a large yard. The owner is super nice and accommodating. Loved it!
Had it all - huge lawn bordered by trees and water. Can’t see neighbors. Dogs loved the romp area and sandy beach for swimming. Hot tub excellent, swim pool not open yet (April)
Plenty of amenities inside. Like the large fireplace with plenty of dry wood in the shed.
It was so peaceful and having all the amenities available was great. Great sunsets and bird watching and our puppy loved the yard. It was a great place to get away and relax. Thank you!
We loved stay at Cedar Point. The house was nice and the space worked well for our family. The wide open yet secluded waterfront property was relaxing and beautiful. Plenty of options to play on or in the water. A Lindy’s crab feast outside during sunset capped off a great long weekend!
Absolutely amazing stay here … looking forward to coming again! The house was very clean and had a great layout, the property was very spacious for kids to run around and we loved the little private beach on the bay . We spent so much time on the dock crabbing and fishing and appreciated the use of the kayaks . The town is only a short 10/15 minute drive as well as nature trails the the Harrier Tubman museum. We can’t stop talking about the great time we had!
