About this property
Historic Adobe Downtown
This beautifully restored 1800’s Adobe Rowhouse is located right by Historic 4th Avenue shops. It’s one of the oldest buildings in the neighborhood. Step outside and wander over to experience Downtown Tucson’s misty courtyard cafes, unesco award restaurants, organic grocery coop, bookshops, yoga studios and music at Hotel Congress.
The16 inch mud earth walls keep it cool and quiet and the 13 ft ceilings and white plaster walls make this guesthouse feel breezy and spacious.
Sorry this listing is NO PETS, NO SMOKING because of a serious medical allergy condition in the family. No pets have stayed here. Hopefully that helps those of you looking for pet allergen free spaces!

About the host
Hosted by Mimi Stitz

I’m a creative professional from California. I moved to Tucson almost a decade ago, and fell in love with the process of restoring this historic building. Now I design and help renovate other histidine buildings in Tucson!
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood West University because it’s right off Historic 4th Avenue and feels very safe for walking around at night.
There are always people around and we’re steps away from restaurants and Cafes, yoga studios and health food stores. I feel like it’s a great spot for solo travelers especially who want to experience a great local vibe and have it right at their fingertips

What makes this property unique
This building was built between 1872 and 1880.
It’s registered historic and made with 16 in mud earth bricks which are fantastic insulators for heat and sound. The original deed holder was an early Tucson pioneer who owned the original merchantile!
