Are you looking for a relaxed country setting, where you can swing, splash, eat from the garden, and be a stone throw away from the beach - then this place is for you. This impeccable 5 bedroom/3 bath home is located in a private bay community on a beautifully landscaped 1 acre south of the highway. It is a short walk to a beautiful private bay beach which is perfect for the little ones. The house is also located within a 5-minute drive from some of the nicest ocean beaches on Long Island. Tastefully renovated in a contemporary style including a new master chef kitchen you will feel relaxed the moment your car rolls into the driveway.

There is a refreshing 20x40 pool (with a child safety fence if needed), top of a line playground, and plenty of outdoor space for children to run free. We also have a vegetable garden for those who enjoy cooking. It has 5 tastefully furnished bedrooms, a nanny/playroom, office, TV-room, dining room, living room, eat-in kitchen, and sunroom.

Outside, enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower after the beach or pool, a large hammock to sneak in those mid-afternoon naps, plenty of songbirds singing amongst the fruit orchard, and a gas grill if you choose to do some outdoor cooking.

The house comes completely stocked with everything you need to enjoy some quality time with your family and friends. The house is also conveniently located just a short driving distance to many wonderful restaurants, wineries, farms and farm stands, shops, and grocery stores.

This home awaits a nice family to enjoy it on and offseason.

Great family vacation!

We just spent the week in East Quogue and could not be happier with our experience. The house is beautiful and perfect for children. The yard is amazing! Most/all of our time was spent in the back yard...swimming, on the playground, napping on the hammock, or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The pool was lovely and a perfect temperature. There is plenty of living space inside the home and the bedrooms were really comfortable. The owners were quick to respond to our initial email (availability) request (which is not always the case when renting online). The area information left by the owners was also a nice touch. It was great to know where the local farmers market and shops were located. The house was just a short drive to any store/market. All in all, it was a great rental experience and we would love to return.

A relaxing gem in East Quogue

We stayed here for a week in June to attend the US Open at Shinnecock Hills, which is only about 15 minutes away. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We comfortably fit 4-6 adults and two children in the 5+ bedrooms and the 3 full baths made mornings very easy. The brand new kitchen was gorgeous; we loved cooking meals in the double wall oven or just hanging out sitting at the peninsula. The house had everything we needed - pots/pans, dishes, silverware, appliances, towels, toys for kids, everything you need for the beach, bikes, etc. We just had to show up and enjoy. Our favorite part of the house was the gigantic backyard chock full of amenities - the in-ground pool was particularly refreshing after a hot day out on the golf course; my kids absolutely loved the playground, trampoline and zip line; the hammock was truly relaxing in the late afternoons; and the outdoor shower was convenient after a day at the beach. Also spent several nights just hanging out on the lovely paver patio enjoying the stars and peaceful quiet night. The house is about two blocks away from a small private beach on the bay, which was perfect for my two young daughters. We didn't have to worry about big waves and currents. There's also a playground and swings there for them to enjoy as well. You can also take a short drive down to larger beaches on the ocean. We loved going into the little town of East Quogue, which is a very short drive from the house. We particularly enjoyed New Moon Café - TexMex with good food, drinks and atmosphere. We also ate at Cucina Italian Restaurant, family style Italian food that was amazing, as well as Dockers Waterside on Dune Road, which was a little more pricey, but the location on the water and the seafood were well worth it. There are many other attractions nearby within short driving distances - strawberry picking, shopping at Tanger outlets, multiple golf courses, etc. The owners of the house were absolutely fantastic. They made sure we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations and advice for enjoying our stay. We could not have asked for better hosts. Simply put, the house exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great and relaxing time on the Eastern end of Long Island to take advantage of this lovely property. We are certainly looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Great Getaway!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this community on the bay when we first saw the house a couple years ago. It is extremely family friendly - there are 2 playgrounds and a private beach. The streets are lush, green and perfect for biking, jogging or leisurely stroll.

What makes this property unique

Needless to say the area has endless fun things to offer for any taste. For the culture minded - galleries and museums, art fairs, Performance Center in Westhampton Beach, ArtHamptons art fair in July, events organized by the Vineyards, the local Library, and the many concerts and performances at Village Green. The Long Island Wine Trail is only 15-25 minute drive away. The various wineries organize events all-year round including food and wine tastings, lectures, art shows, winemakers walks, concerts, vineyard tours. My family loves to picnics at a favorite vineyard particularly in spring or fall before beaches are open for season. Sport activities are plentiful including deep-sea fishing, surfing, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, jet-skiing, tubing, etc in nearby Shinnecock bay, horseback riding at the nearby Pony Farm in East Quogue and karate/yoga/fitness nearby in East Quogue and Westhampton, golfing in Riverhead, the list is endless and limited only by your desires.
East Quogue is a beautiful relaxed beach town with everything that you need near by to escape from busy big city life. You can do everything or nothing at all. The house is perfect for all year around. The beaches are beautiful and the food is fantastic.
