About this property

“Glamper” on Private Lot by Lake Monroe

Live out your glamping dreams just a short distance from Cartop SRA on Lake Monroe. Brink your kayak(s) and launch "just around the corner". Cartop is a favorite for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and just hanging out at the lake. Walk to Cartop from the campsite in about 10 minutes, or there is plenty of parking if you prefer to take a 2 minute drive.

Have a motorized boat? Our lot also has an out of the way parking area that will accommodate most trailered boats. Just be aware you will have to back into this space, it is not a pull-through.

The RV includes a queen bed separated by a privacy curtain, a dinette that can convert into a full bed, and a loft that is also a full size sleeping area. A/C, furnace, refrig / freezer, microwave, stove and oven, bathroom with step in shower make this GLAMPING and not just camping.

This private lot backs up to DNR forest and is 3/10 of an acre.

We are pet friendly ... as long as the pets are friendly :-) Need a fenced area for y our dog to run off some energy? Ask about our fenced yard. Please note, we will ask for proof of vaccinations as this yard is our dog's domain and they insist on their visitors being vaccinated.

Located just 20 minutes to downtown Bloomington Indiana, 10 minutes to a grocery store and 10 minutes to three boat launches - Cutright, Paynetown & Moores Creek.

If you have your own RV, we can move ours and you can hook up yours. 30 amp service, water for your fresh water tank (not a full time city hook up) and septic dump available (extra $).

Perfect get-away!

Love Love Love!! Eric and Suzanne were amazing hosts. It was the perfect get-away with our dogs. They allowed us the use of their huge fenced in yard directly across the street. So quiet with beautiful surroundings. Can’t wait to go back! The RV was on perfect condition.

Perfect!

We were looking for a place to stay close to IU for parent’s weekend that was pet friendly. Being former camper owners ourselves, this was perfect! The camper was spotless and a perfect size for the 3 of us and our two small dogs. Suzanne had everything we could possibly need. The location is great too. It’s only about 20 minutes from campus. We are definitely going to keep this location in mind for future stays!

Relaxing glamper in the woods

We loved Suzanne and Eric's "glamper" and will definitely be back. They had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the setting was beautiful and quiet. It was halfway between IU's campus and the bike trails, so it was great for our trip moving our daughter back to school. We had all of the comforts there: AC, full stove, microwave, TV, wifi, coffee, a hot shower...We didn't have time to make use of the outdoor offerings but the fire pit and grill are nice touches. Suzanne and Eric responded promptly to our questions and made us (and our dog) feel at home. We were surprised how comfortable and cozy we felt!

Everything was perfect!

Everything was perfect. The Glamper is on a private lot which was great. We saw deer, rabbits. squirrels and our favorite was the chipmunk. I can't say enough about the owners. They had everything perfect. Communication was at 100 percent and 24 hr care if needed. Anything you needed in the camper was there. Shampoo to bodywash to towels to bedding to dishes to even having games and puzzles were there with outside seating and outside games. You could even have a campfire outside. Everthing inside and outside was so clean. Thank you so much Suzanne for making our visit so special. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Experience to try RVing, without RVing

In truth, we spent more time in town at campus events, so I wish I would have had more time to actually experience the property. Very peaceful and relaxing. I've looked at RVShare, and other means of renting an RV to try it out, but this is absolutely perfect. You can experience what it might be like to have a fully stocked RV. The hosts were very helpful, provided lots of great information for staying, and great information for things to see and do in the area. There are lots of games and things to do for outside, as well, as board games and TV to spend time inside if you get rained out (we didn't, but it was great to see what you'd do with your time). Overall, this was a ton of fun, and helped us to understand what's involved in not just owning an RV but how do you actually camp in one, with very little risk. I want to go back when I can just spend time out there camping.
