About this property
Elk Ridge Inn - Cozy 2 BR, 2BA Log Home
The name says it all for Elk Ridge Inn, a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath log home located in an easily accessed log home community right in the middle of Elk Country, Maggie Valley! Feel right at home when you first pull up to this custom-built property with its amazing mountain view from the covered front porch. You will relish the time spent here enjoying the mountain stillness and, maybe, just maybe an occasional elk walking through!
Inside the open floor plan with vaulted ceiling and exposed loft (book nook give a spacious spread out feeling while still remaining a comfortable and cozy cabin. The stone wood burning fireplace is the focal point of the living space which adjoins the dining room and full kitchen. Perfect for the cook in your group to converse with those at the dining table or watching the big game in the living room. The covered back deck is a great space to gather after a great meal and to catch up on the day in the cool night air.
Elk Ridge Inn comes complete with two main floor king bedrooms, one being the primary with bathroom ensuite and the second with a hallway guest bath. Upstairs, the loft area has two additional twin beds and a small sitting area perfect for reading your next favorite summer read! Central heat and air, Spectrum high speed internet, Wi-Fi, Roku Smart TVs in the living room and both downstairs bedrooms, wood fireplace, full size main floor washer / dryer, charcoal grill, and two covered porches are just a few of the things that complete this home with everything you came to the mountains to enjoy.
Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The access to this home is a paved road in a log cabin community, not far off the main road in Maggie Valley. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is recommended for access in late fall and winter.
Elk Ridge Inn is just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and only a few miles from golfing. In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 20-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.
It is just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
