A hiccup to start but good after

Check in was at 3. We arrived at 3:30 and the rental had not been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, beds unmade, etc. I contacted the manager and he got the cleaners there on an hour. Stay was fine after that. Great location. Safe and walkable. Lots of coffee nearby with a greenspace for our dog a block away.

Great spot, but shower was messed up

First night we got there the shower did not work. The water came out of the faucet but when you pull the tab for shower it never got up to the shower head. It was very very light drips, so we just had to bathe the first night. I messaged the owners and got nothing back from them about it. The next morning we tried again and it still did not work, I messaged again and nothing. The next morning we somehow got it to work properly- the owners still never acknowledged my message. After the say they reached out - not to address that, but to ask me to leave a review. I believe whoever owns this just has AI manage it for them because none of the responses or messages seemed real. All in all it was still worth it, the place is nice and clean - in a great area. Just wish the communication was better.

Definitely hiccups

The place was in a great location. Very walkable and safe. We had a few issues. We were supposed to book two nights but it only went through as one. When I asked to modify my booking to extend to two nights I didn't hear back in the time VRBO said I would so I got worried and just went in and booked the second night. Eventually, I did hear back from the manager that it was booked for two nights. This caused the door codes to change on both days and I got all communications twice about checking out etc. Not a huge deal though just a clunky process. When we arrived at 3:30, the place was not clean. The beds were unmade and obviously slept in. Trash not taken out. Floor not swept. Dirty towels on the floor, Tub not clean etc. I contacted the manager who responded reasonably quickly and was apologetic. Said the cleaners should have been by there already. Check in was at 3:00. He had cleaners come by an hour later. Because we had our dog with us we couldn't leave so we holed up in a room while thet they cleaned the place. There were partiers above us on the fire escape past 1 am right by our bedroom window so we didn't sleep until they did. The place was near a little green area convenient to our dog and by multiple coffee shops. If they tighten up the process, it would be a good rental. etc.
