My Sister’s House is a lovingly revitalized 1949 cottage, designed to celebrate all who are sisters, know a sister, or aspire to be one. Located in the Idlewood neighborhood, this cozy and welcoming home is the perfect space to rest, reconnect, and recharge. Whether you’re visiting Greensboro for work, leisure, or to spend time with loved ones, My Sister’s House offers a unique and inviting experience that feels like staying with family.

About My Sister’s House
This revitalized two-bedroom, one-bath cottage has been thoughtfully updated with modern amenities while preserving its timeless charm. Every detail was designed with love, reflecting the warmth and connection shared between sisters and friends.

Main Features:

Two Bedrooms: Each with a queen-sized bed, memory foam mattress, 100% cotton linens, four pillow options, a ceiling fan, a closet, and a Smart TV.
Bathroom: A delightful feature of the home is the refinished vintage bathtub, which offers a spacious soak complemented by an upgraded rainhead shower, handheld shower, and herringbone tile surround with penny tile flooring. It’s the perfect mix of vintage charm and modern upgrades.
Kitchen: The fully renovated kitchen is both functional and beautiful, with custom cabinets, penny tile flooring, and a cheerful tile backsplash. Guests will appreciate the stainless steel appliances, including a KitchenAid range and dishwasher, a Samsung refrigerator, and an LG smart front-loading washer and dryer. House Guidelines
To ensure a smooth and respectful stay, please review the following guidelines:

Flushing Policy:

Only flush natural waste and toilet paper. Do not flush sanitary products, wipes, diapers, or cotton items. Improper disposal may result in repair fees of $100–$500.
Damages to Linens & Towels:

Towels: $20 each
Sheet Sets: $100 per set
Pillowcases: $25 each
Quilts/Blankets: $20 to $500 depending on the item
Trash & Recycling:

Green can: Trash
Brown can: Recycling (no plastic bags, please)
Trash and recycling are picked up on Mondays (except holidays).
Quiet Hours:

Please keep noise levels low from 9 PM to 9 AM to respect neighbors and other guests.
Checkout:

Set the HVAC to 68–72°F.
Remove all trash to outdoor bins.
Leave the space as you found it, free of personal items.
Report any accidental damage.
Pet Policy
We welcome pets with a non-refundable fee based on size, number, and shed level. Please:

Dispose of pet waste in designated bins.
Direct pets to non-grass areas to prevent lawn damage.

We are a local, non-corporate, guest home rental management company that supports Guilford County high school students with learning differences. We host several rentals within walking distance of downtown Greensboro, Cone Hospital, Westley Long Hospital, UNCG, Greensboro College and Elon Law School. Our Short Term Rentals are fully furnished with all utilities included.

We also offer two traditional rentals, one single family home at 4201 King Edward Court in the Bellwood Village Neighborhood and a condo in Wafco Mills (aka Downtown College Hill Brownstone). We host guests at 907 W Wendover Ave (aka Idlewood House) which is unfurnished on the main floor but has a queen bed and twin bed in the walk up attic and can be rented as a traditional 12 month rental, or for a minimum of 6 months for people relocating with some furnishings of their own.

We have hosted guests from all over the world and love meeting new people. We love to share our favorite Greensboro spots and learn the personal stories guests share with us.

Joy’s former special ed teacher roots add care, and as a licensed NC real estate agent, she’s ready to help you buy or sell a home. Eric and Joy reside in the brick house on the corner of Wendover and Grayland so we are two doors up the hill from this home.
